We have been eating at this restaurant for the past 4-5 years. We make the trip of 84 miles one way at least 2-3 times a year, just to eat there! We have never been disappointed with anything we order. The food and staff are just amazing! If you want excellent food and service, you have to eat here!! I was in Antonito to take the Cumbres & Toltec train ride. I had eaten at Dos Hermanas the previous night so I figured I'd check out the Dutch Mill Restaurant. They do have a pretty extensive menu. Lots of selections of sandwiches, appetizers, and Mexican dishes. Parking was convenient and the staff was nice. The kitchen did mess up our orders a bit. My spouse and I both ordered dishes with steaks. My "medium well" came out moo'ing and my spouses medium rare came out "well done". We swapped, but still the very rare steak was mostly inedible. The Mexican dishes were average, certainly not a bad experience but Dos Hermanas was somewhat better. Usually I don't write restaurant reviews until I have been to some place at least twice, but I'm not in Antonito every day. I would definitely go back when I'm in town again and I hope they succeed since Antonito needs a couple of restaurants. read more

We came here three times during my hunt and every time the waitresses and food were terrible. I worked in the restaurant and customer service business for years. I'm pretty lenient when giving reviews. This place was terrible all around. Waitresses weren't friendly at all. Seemed like they didn't even want to be here whatsoever. The food was bland every time. Not even subpar. You're better off just going to the grocery store and cooking for yourself if the restaurant next door isn't open. Our last meal, we wanted a nice warm meal before hitting the road. Everything was cold except the sausage. We were in a hurry so we just ate it and left. Terrible service and terrible food. The only one that seemed to give a damn was I'm guessing the owner. Not enough to change the attitude of the serving and kitchen staff unfortunately. Definitely avoid this place for food. If I could I'd give it 0 stars. read more
