At the ripe old age of... (mmphff), I finally decided to get my drivers licence! Yay me!…read more I was looking through the list of 'ministry-approved' driver education course providers on the MTO's website and found only three in Pickering. I started to research them and decided to go with Inter Driving Academy. They offer a 'Standard Course' which consists of 20 hours in-class, 10 hours of Home-Link and 10 hours in-car for $350.00. Since the in-class sessions were filled with kids that were mostly under 18, they were interesting and even entertaining at times... (no, the reason why the hood of your car has an emergency latch isn't so that people can't break in and get at your shit). C'mon, seriously?. But I digress. Marek, the instructor / owner, is professional and conducts his classes in an orderly fashion. He is extremely punctual both for the in-class and in-car sessions. All in all, a good experience. I took both my G2 and G tests as soon as I was eligible to do so and passed both with flying colours... "to tell you true"! ;)

So I finished my in-class before the driving portion of the class. Marek was an okay teacher…read more HOWEVER my driver for my in-car sessions was horrible. He was on time for all in-car lessons but he can be rather rough and rude. His car smells horrible and he always smokes before each lesson. He has absolutely no patience and you don't know what to expect when he picks you up for the in-cars, he can nice or extremely rude. During my last lessons, I was still making mistakes and obviously needed more practice (It takes me a while to learn things, but once I do I guarantee its 100%). He got on his phone for nearly half the class because I am guessing he didn't care anymore, rather than trying to set up more classes or offer more help, which I am willing to pay...He says "Don't go for your G2". The following day I signed up with another school for extra lessons, hopefully it will be a better experience. IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE AND YOU ARE A PERSON WHO NEEDS A LOT OF PRACTICE TO UNDERSTAND CERTAIN THINGS I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DRIVING SCHOOL AT ALL.

I also had the chance to go on a field trip to practice what we learned. It was a wonderful experience. Rose was so friendly, professional, and her photos were amazing. Rose is so knowledgeable, flexible, and patient. She really likes to see people learn and do…read morethings for themselves. While waiting for my photoshop workshop to commence, I dabbled around in Adobe photoshop, so I had the "idea" of what was possible. But Rose's private workshops were designed to meet my learning needs and I was able to go more in depth in certain areas, while learning a ton of shortcuts. She has saved me so much time and increased my skill level immensely. Rose has also done family portraits for us on a couple of occasions with excellent results. I get the high res files and do tons of collages and other amazing photo projects with these high quality photos. I am ready to learn more advanced Adobe photoshop and it's time I learned how to improve my photography skills as well. So Rose will be seeing me again for more workshops!
