The fact that the charter schools have to wait until the public schools open in order to pick up the kids from the charter school, knowing that the charter schools start before the public schools is ridiculous. If you have no means of transportation your kids WILL miss an entire week and a few days just because they say that they don't start picking kids up until the public schools are open.... So basically it's okay if the charter school kids miss school because of this ridiculous rule???? read more

Lucy same here my son was left on the bus after school I had to go down to the school myself because I got no answers what's so ever and when I arrived to the school it was after 6pm at night !!! The manager of the company was not informed that a student hadn't made it home at those hours and come to find out my son was asleep in the back of a small bus and left unattended!!! They wanted to drive my scholar back to the school when I was in such a panic I prefered to have met them they said no. So I believe my son was left on the bus sleeping read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They were 3 hours late on the first day of school with my 6 year old child. Nobody was in the office picking up the phone. Even the school couldn't get anyone on the phone to figure out where kids were. I have not once been able to get anyone on the phone even for routine matters. Then, yesterday the driver told my child (now 7) to get off of the bus after driving him around in a loop for 20 minutes. This was not at his regular stop, and he had to walk home alone because they didn't communicate this change. This company is disorganized and terrible!! read more

Colonie Central High School seems to be a very good compromise between having good facilities and a…read moregood educational program along with keeping school taxes reasonable. My two special-needs kids both went to school there and, with a lot of help, both graduated with Regents diplomas. One went to a technical/trade school after that. I'm not saying the school is perfect, in fact, it's far from it. But I've been quite satisfied, for the most part, as a parent. I feel we got a really good value for our money and while our kids both had some problems they were not insurmountable. I feel the school has an excellent location, even if it is somewhat hemmed in, that is convenient and easy to reach for a good number of students (we were very close so our kids could walk) and yet also close to other facilities such as Colonie Center Mall. We don't see as much of the school as we did when our kids were there, helping with such things as Line n Cue or watching our daughter play lacrosse but we still are reminded when football games are played there behind our house or when we see runners on our street for the Raider Classic.

Absolutely TERRIBLE! Bus attendant PAM is a bully! She targets my child and never says anything to me about him or his behavior! She's disgusting along with JODY! The phone lady. Their GM don't allow you to make formal report on their staff! THEY ARE DANGEROUS! read more

All in all, not a good experience. My family moved quite a bit when I was younger, so I have a pretty decent idea of which schools in the area are gold and which ones are trash. This one is pretty trashy. Not allot of teachers cared here, except the art teachers, which have both since retired. The principal was awful too. Also, 3 kids died while I went there...not blaming the school, but I am saying that school is a big influence in our lives and if it's not a positive influence then it's part of the problem.
