In order to get the coating I wanted they sent the cards out. They looked nothing like the $20 proof he showed me and the edges were ragged. In fact, the cards looked worse than the ones I received from the online company and they were 6X the price. They agreed to reprint the cards (in house?) without the coating. The new cards were better, not great, but passable. What was really disconcerting was the very evasive response I got to every question I asked with regard to pricing and procedures for printing. I'll find another "local" business next time where I know exactly what I'm getting and exactly how much it will cost.

When we came to pick them up, we struck up a conversation with a really nice lady and her dog. After chatting for a while, it hit me that she had to be the owner. When it came time to pay, she refused my card. My son stood there, mouth agape, in absolute shock. When he asked how he could repay her, she said he just needs to be excellent and pay it forward (paraphrase). When we got in the car, he told me he felt like his cards were blessed, and I have to agree. What the owner didn't know is that the cards were for his first experience away from home - a 9 day biotechnology program - and he was nervous as hell about it. Her (the owner's) kindness gave him a huge boost of confidence. Thank you so much for caring about more than the bottom line. You just won a customer for life who will refer you whenever possible!

Everything came back to me needed tweeking....In addition I had to completely provide the concept to the graphic artist and walk him through design steps along the way....the designs were fair, but nothing to go talking about.
