There are more than good food and wine in Italy. Duomo di Parma is one of the must visit while touring Parma aside for eating cheese and ham. This Cathedral is just impressive! It is so well maintained. Everything had been restored to how they look in their glory days! Make sure you check out the dome which is decorated by the famous High Renaissance artist Antonio da Correggio. Don't be fooled by the simple and uninspiring Gothic facade, the interior just amazing with contribution of local artists over a few hundred years. I am so glad that I can spent some time just admiring this Cathedral, until my lunch at the restaurant right next to it. read more
