This is a man that cares about his work & his customers…read more I've lived in the Boise area since March & not one friend could give me the name of a trustworthy reasonable mechanic. I tried using Yelp to help find a shop that had high ratings & mostly positive reviews. I had a shop (Walter @ Mac's Automotive) convince me that replacing my rear end assembly instead of rebuilding the differential would be more cost-effective due to labor & parts. Initially quoted me $2300 ($1700 for the rear end) + $500 for 2 sensors that had to be replaced (told me that I had to do all 4). Ended up having Scott tow my truck from that shop to his & I told him what The prior shop had told me. To my surprise, Scott came back that same day quoting me $1300 for the rebuild. Then he mentioned the sensors & expressed their importance but I didn't have to do all 4. All said & done........$1655 out the door! Thank God For Perfection Drivetrain!

Wayne's Transmission was the only reasonable transmission shop in the entire Treasure Valley…read more I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I kinda want to keep it a secret because places like this are rare. Every other shop wanted to rip me off. One shop made promises then changed their offer the very next week. It feels good to have a transmission shop like Wayne's transmission in your contacts, I feel great about the quality of work, the honesty and feel like I made some lifelong friends. Don't waste your time shopping around just go to Wayne's save yourself time, money And headaches. I drive a Chevrolet with a 4L60 e for reference.

My wife and I were first time customers of Driven Automotive. We recently moved to the area and…read morewere looking for a professional automotive mechanic to build a relationship with. Driven Automotive exceeded expectations. The barometer for me is always customer service. From the first impression, service writer Steve Lee knocked it out of the park. I requested service on my vehicle on short notice and Steve was kind enough to place me on a waitlist. Not expecting a call back, he did indeed and squeezed my vehicle in the next day. The Driven Automotive facilities are modern, well maintained, and make it obvious that customer impressions matter to them. Steve conveyed clear understanding of our maintenance needs and gave us clear expectations. Ultimately, Driven Automotive didn't try to upsell me on service not readily needed and provided solid advice and guidance on potential future service. The credibility already established from the first phone call gave me confidence that Driven Automotive are pros interested in letting their work product and reputation be their greatest selling point. We were really impressed and planning to be loyal customers moving forward with all our vehicles!
