New Iced Tiger Latte and Turkey Sausage Egg and Cheese with English Muffin
    Alex C.

This Dunkin' may be my favorite in the area. Not only is the service consistently good, but the food never ever disappoints. It's a great hangout spot and I just love coming here because the workers are good people. You can tell they work hard and they always make you feel welcome. Only once have I ordered a coffee that they did not make correctly, but when I went in and told them, no questions were asked and they gave me a new one free of charge. So, even when mistakes are made, which is inevitable, they are quick to fix the issue! Today I ordered an small Iced Tiger Latte. This is their newest beverage and it is addicting! It's pretty sweet tasting with a lot of caramel and a bit of a toffee flavor. I also ordered my usual which consists of a Turkey Sausage Egg and Cheese sandwich with an English Muffin. When it comes to chain shops, consistency can vary greatly depending on the location it is in. Based on my years of experience coming here, I can tell you for a fact that this Dunkin' is the best around!

The fall season is upon us- that means new types of donuts at Dunkin' ! I was excited to finally try their pumpkin and apple cider donuts. I would absolutely recommend the pumpkin donuts, they are simple with a nice twist. The apple cider donuts are not my style, the flavor somehow reminds me of alcohol and my tastebuds did not enjoy that. My friends thought they tasted alright though, they said it wouldn't be their first choice of donut flavor, but it wasn't bad! The service was fast here, I was able to go inside the store and pick the donuts I wanted. Would recommend'

Standard good Dunkin. The staff was friendly and fast. The place is very clean. There is plenty of parking and it's a gas station too.

Most of the baked goods are randomly available depending on what they choose to bake that day, but you will usually find pies, donuts, cream puffs, various kinds of cookies and homemade breadsticks ready for purchase. The brunt of their customers come in for the hard rolls and buns so it is always wise to place your order ahead of time. I love the little notebook they use to record the phoned in orders. I never grow tired of my visits to this little shop. It is always fun to stop in and see what goodies are available inside the case or on top of their counter. They usually know their customers on a first name basis and the owners, (particularly Mrs. Enrico) usually take the time to engage in friendly conversation regarding you and your family. . I absolutely love the family history and beginnings of this bakery and certainly appreciate all the years of hard work that have gone into turning this business into one of the many gems of the city of Jeannette. Cash only.

Naturally, I had to seek out a donut shop on the way in my quest to find not only the perfect donut in Pittsburgh... but the world. I looked for shops along the way and found the Corner Donut Shop, located at the corner of a strip mall on the McKeesport/White Oak border. It's open from 6 a.m. to noon, so I called ahead an order the day before knowing I wouldn't be able to pick up the donuts until about 11:30 a.m., figuring they would be low on options when I arrived. Surprisingly, there still were a decent number of options left when I stopped, but calling ahead an order was the right idea, since I was able to get exactly what I wanted. The shop itself was clean and had a solid variety. The seating area was blocked off because of Covid precautions, but looked like it would be a nice spot to hang out and have some coffee. Now for the donuts: Cake donut with vanilla frosting and sprinkles: Very soft, dense, and chewy, both the donut and frosting were mildly sweet. It felt like an upgraded Entenmann's donut. I prefer a cake donut with a crispy exterior, but this was still tasty. Cinnamon roll: The cinnamon roll is a special donut, not included as a part of a half dozen or dozen. It was quite large, soft, and had a subtle sweetness with a noticeably stronger cinnamon flavor than most other cinnamon rolls I've had. I enjoyed the strong cinnamon flavor, and would welcome other shops kicking up the cinnamon level in their cinnamon rolls. Vanilla cream filled: This was the sweetest donut of theirs that I tried, buoyed by a massive amount of vanilla cream. The actual donut itself was doused in powdered sugar and was a bit dry, but overall, it was balanced well by the cream filling. Toasted coconut cream: By far, this was the best donut I tried. Reminiscent of a coconut cream pie, the base is a raised donut, topped with vanilla cream and toasted coconut. The layered arrangement of the donut is unique, and avoids the common foible of cream popping out of the donut when you take a bite. The coconut was nicely toasted, and the vanilla cream was a perfect complement. If you visit this shop and like coconut, you need to try this donut. If I'm in the area, I would definitely visit the Corner Donut Shop for another toasted coconut cream donut and to try some other varieties. It's a solid little neighborhood donut shop with good variety, reasonably priced (I paid about $9 for a half dozen and a cinnamon roll). Check it out if you're in the area.

The store has three cases inside filled with cookies, decorated waffles, cupcakes, cakes, donuts and a few other things. Two ladies were inside and the one greeted me asking if I was looking for anything in particular. After looking in the cases and asking what the first two cupcakes were, I decided I could get one chocolate with delicious chocolate icing and one peanut butter chocolate. When in doubt- choose the cupcakes! Both were very delicious and slightly different. The peanut butter icing was EPIC. Such a sweet, nutty flavor but not overkill sweetness. The cupcake was tasty but not as moist as I expected. It had a delicious chocolate icing filling in it which made a fun surprise when cutting inside. The chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing was more moist (perfect moisture actually) and the icing on top was fun with the chocolate shavings! I think I loved the peanut butter icing most with the moisture of the chocolate cupcake from the chocolate icing one. I'd love to note that the lady asked me if I had been before and I told her no, it was my first time. She told me these cupcakes are on her - which I couldn't believe and SO appreciated this sweet gesture. Overall, I'd be interested in getting their items again. I also plan to ask what the staple is next time I go, as I feel like all places have one thing they are dying to rave about. This seems like a small business worth supporting!
