We originally planned to go to the Imagine Museum, but it closed early for a private event. Thank goodness! It worked out so perfectly, as we stumbled upon the Duncan McClellan Gallery instead. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in the door. There's no admission, but I strongly recommend making a donation, as it is well worth it for the experience. The glass art was stunning. My husband and I didn't go there intending to purchase anything, but we are now considering it after seeing the gorgeous selection (some pieces are more affordable than others). We toured the different rooms (don't forget to look up!) and looked around the covered areas of the sculpture garden, since it was a rainy day--we definitely want to return when the weather is nicer. They kindly offered to give us a blown glass demo, but we were short on time so we passed, but would for sure check out that experience next time. Absolutely stop here when you're in the Warehouse district of St. Pete. Even better, after you can grab a beer at Bayboro Brewing next door!

    Kiln in operation!

Just the best cool stuff, creative art, superbly crafted by real artisans. Real operating kiln in the back so you can see the real deal happening while you're there (check times before you go) They also have an educational program for area schools, as well as a mobile van it takes their artisan craft to local area gatherings. This and the imagine museum are definitely must seize in this cute little town of St Pete (Bring spray for the no seeums and mosquitos!)

This place is absolutely incredible. Just full of the most amazing art pieces. I could easily spend a long time here in awe of all the talent packed into this place. They also have a lovely sculpture garden. And I talked a bit with the owners, Duncan McClellan himself and his wife, and the employee, Jack, there and they were all the most welcoming people, which made my visit here all the more enjoyable.

This gallery is stunning, full of unique glass art that will take your breath away .Add the gorgeous and relaxing garden with a kitty friend and you already have a place that is rare indeed. Then you add the fact that they actually go and work in at risk communities to help teach them the trade of glass blowing and you have a place I will gladly support.

This is a hidden treasure in St Petersburg. The gallery features amazing works from a variety of artist. The works are displayed in a very elegant fashion. Step outside and there are even more stunning works of art: From wind powered moving pieces to larger glass vases and creatures. The gardens is full of fruit trees and orchids. There are so many orchids tasteful tucked away everywhere! The glass shop is where the heat is at. Live classes, demonstrations and master classes happen all day long. The large covered outdoor space is even available for special events.

    Doors to a glass garden...

A hidden jewel of the Warehouse district, DMG has a stunning array of glass sculptures for sale and display by top names and emerging artists. The lovely garden space complements their educational programs and Hot Shop demos...what a delightful discovery!

    One of my favorite pieces.

If you are in or headed to SW Florida, don't miss this opportunity to see incredible glass works of art. It is very impressive when the owners/artists greet you when you come in the door. But that's when you are "blown away" lol, by the glass art that is in front of you. The amount of glass works from different artists will leave your jaw dropped. Mostly, McClellan's work etching glass is extraordinary. You must go, the entire grounds and glass shop can't be missed. They also support a mission call DMG School Project which enables young folks to learn about glass blowing, even a mobile studio. I will go each time I am down in Florida, probably a few times and bring more friends.

So, you love or maybe just like (like me), art glass. This is a must see, and it's free! Just off Central Ave, take a few minutes - no, take at least 30+ plus and wander through these amazing works of art, beautifully lit and the amazing outdoor party/meeting area they rent out. So cool.

This is an incredible find for anyone who appreciates world class glass art. They had works for sale (but no pressure to buy) from over 100 artists and the variety of techniques was mind-blowing. It is a museum quality experience without the fee. Spend an hour here, you will be so glad that you did.

I have lived in Florida for decades and this gallery is a gem I never even knew existed until today! You owe it to yourself to see the glass artwork from around the world and stroll in the gardens which now have their orchids in full bloom! And to make the day extra special, we met the glass artist, Duncan McClellan, who was so gracious and informative and told us about the charitable work and education he does with youth in the local schools. Truly a don't-miss glass destination that you will be happy to support!

WOAH!!! Just Woah!! When i heard a gallery was having a Peter Max exhibition i was already down!…read moreRain or shine i was gonna go! Beautiful young lady at the entrance catalog my reservation, which i was later told you don't really need it. They are doing one more day tomorrow from 1pm to 3pm, im definitely going to bring my mother in. Their collection was huge n beautiful. They had all the paintings im used to seeing from him n then many more of the ones i never seen. They have a new "to us" section of his collection of pop art posters. Just groovy n gorgeous colors, that bring the still images into another realm of perspective beauty. I really wanted to walk out with a few but im no where near the bank needed to do that lol. But i have gone full wild n walked out of auctions with his work before. To those that don't know? In most art auctions there's FREE booze. And this girl right here has gotten very very very VERY! "INSPIRED". I was speaking to one of the nice ladies in the show room about the last time i got "inspired" i won 3 guessing, matching n hidden treasure games in that Art auction. So i had 3 bottles of champagne with me n they went WOOOSH! Disappeared, like an act of magic. All I remember is that im the proud owner of 8 paintings. Lol among them was Petter Max and another gentleman i love. They invited me for another night of crazy Jez but although i did go I didn't add to that collection. Do i regret it? The first one no the second night? Yes omg YES!! I saw 5 of the paintings offered to me at the time weren't over the 5k mark. I saw them in this gallery over 15k ouch! I wanted to cry but a las Jez D Wild will one day find herself in another one of these auctions. Back at the gallery; I loved the displays n how they setup the art Exhibit. They had a charming greeter n one of the main most seen paintings dead center. Lady liberty. I love what he did in order to get the fund needed to save the Statue. It's what made me love his art more. Towards the left they had their painting framing counters, consultations n my favorite part, the Bar! Lol i only had a cup of wine to spice up my "inspiration" lol oh it work beautifully! I seriously felt the vibe with the groovy music playing and the beautiful art. I saw the ones i own at x2-x3 times what i payed for my collection. I fought temptation head on! I seriously wanted to walk away with 3 but even with the 12 month pay plan it would hurt my shenanigans money. Another time it's the best advice i got for myself. I think i would've walked out with a print or poster if they had it for sale. I didn't see them n my anemia was kicking my butt so I forgot to ask. I really loved my visit. The staff is kind and professional. Well verse in the craft n if u checkin through the app they give you a voucher for a free consultation on framing your art to. I would definitely come back for future exhibitions. The smell of oils n thinners really made me miss my days as a student of the arts. I think its time for me to return to my craft. Thank you so much for waking my muse up. Blessings to everybody n have a wonderful night!
