So good! I came here yesterday and my wife and I came back today! Highly recommend the peanut butter pork dumplings. The sauce is so amazing I ended up dipping all of my other dumplings in it. Rest of the order was the pan fried pork & chive dumplings. Also incredible. As for drinks - there are a lot of them. I ordered a Watermelon Code the first day. It's good, but I didn't think it was worth $6. It does taste fresh and refreshing though. The giant hunk of watermelon took up most of the cup so I ran out fast. Another weird thing is their cup lids, I found them about as fun as paper straws. Second day I got a lychee mint lemonade. I'd go with that (or any of the lemonades/sodas - they make all of them with all of the flavors listed) over the watermelon code. Water is only available in a bottle for $1. Not a bad price, but I prefer dirty sink water with ice. I'll be back and will work my way through all of the dumplings (and most of the drinks). I've tried Dumpling House twice now and the first time everything was amazing! The dumplings were perfectly cooked and the pork wonton soup was tasty! It was so good that I was excited to go back again. When I went back a week later and ordered the same thing my dumplings were not as good as the first time. They even were a little burnt on the bottom. Overall I still think this place is worth the hype but I would be more cautious about ordering the fried dumplings. Good Asian restaurants are few and far between in Nashville, so I'm very thankful to have this pop up in the Hillsboro/Vanderbilt area...and even more thankful I work walking distance to it! Dumplings and atmosphere are more authentic than Steam Boys (the only other dumpling joint in town), which I also enjoy but I think I appreciated Dumpling House's variety, flavors, and homey authenticity a little more. There is a wide selection of fillings (e.g. pork and cabbage, beef curry, chicken curry, shrimp, and many more), which you can get boiled, steamed, or pan fried, as well as some appetizers and special dumplings, like shrimp or pork dumplings in peanut sauce. I ordered the pan fried beef curry dumplings and the shrimp dumplings in peanut sauce. The flavors on both were great, loved the texture of the fried crispy layer, and the peanut sauce was excellent. I'll definitely be back to try some more! There is also a good variety of boba and other drinks, I didn't try but my friends said they were delicious! Despite being less than a few weeks since it's opening it was pretty much completely packed when I dropped in tonight. Dumpling House is special in that it provides, well, quality dumplings and boba to an area that had few *good* options previously. This does, however, come with a less than reasonable cost. Factoring in the cost with the quality of the food, I'd definitely say dumpling house is worth visiting but be prepared to spend more than what you might think it's worth. read more

It was so snug and hot, and there is an overall lack of flow to the set up. The patio seating was clunky and, worst of all, sticky! The Dumpling House had what I was looking for in an early dinner. I went around 6pm on a Sunday and it was pretty busy but not overwhelmingly so. I stood in line for about 5 minutes and that was fine. The young lady who took my order recommended the pork and shrimp and the curry steak dumplings. I got a half and half order of the dumplings, hot and sour soup with a brown sugar Thai tea. The soup came out quickly and it was indeed piping hot. The dumplings came out about 20 minutes later, which was fine because they told me it could take longer to prep. Everything was sooo good. There were so many dumplings that I could not finish them all. Sadly, my hotel didn't have a fridge in the room and my yummy leftovers perished. I'm actually pretty sad about it. read more

No service at all, water was not free and we had to clean up after. A great spot for a bite before you catch a movie at the Belcourt! It's quick service so you order at a counter then take a seat, and it can get a bit busy. They have a covered patio for nicer weather. It's on the pricey side for what you get, but the dumplings are very fresh and tasty! read more

Dumpling House had raving reviews, so of course we had to drop in while in Nashville. We went about twenty minutes before they closed on a Saturday night. We came in and checked out the menu, it was a bit confusing. It said some things were out of stock but the person at the register said for us to ignore the menu because it wasn't accurate, so we were back to being confused and had to ask questions. We ordered Peanut Butter Shrimp Dumplings, Peanut Butter Pork Dumplings, A Half/Half (12pc) Curry Beef and Onion Dumplings & Veggie Dumplings (Pan Fried). The woman making the dumpling was a bit snappy when the lady who took our order asked if the Half/Half could be put in separate containers because I am a pescatarian. She snipped at the cashier, "don't do that again". That didn't really sit well with us because it didn't seem like the most challenging task but more importantly, there was a kinder way for her to communicate that to the cashier, and ultimately us since we were within ear shot and I'm pretty sure she knew that. But hey, it was late, they were about to close and maybe that was the rule. Either way, a kinder/clearer line of communication would've been appreciated and gone a long way. But nonetheless the dumplings were amazing. Peanut Butter Shrimp Dumplings (10/10) - The peanut butter sauce was nothing short of amazing. The dumplings were steamed to perfection and and flavorful. Peanut Butter Pork Dumplings (10/10) - They truly were identical to the Shrimp Dumlings, See above. Curry Beef & Onion Dumplings (10/10) - The curry beef was savory and juicy. The flavors were very robust. It can be described as a party in your mouth. Veggie Dumplings (Pan Fried) (10/10) - These were a different texture than the other because they were the only pan fried ones and I simply loved them just the same. I stopped in for lunch with my partner and we ordered a variety of items--cucumber salad, hot and sour soup, shrimp peanut butter dumplings, a half order of spicy pork dumplings, a half order of vegetable dumplings, a peach mint lemonade, and a mango lemonade. We enjoyed everything we ordered, but the peanut butter dumplings were our favorite. The cucumber salad was tasty, but not spicy at all. Total with tip came out to around $52. These were really great and authentic dumplings! I tried the pork. The crispy lace on the bottom of the dumplings was perfect. I tried the pork dumplings with peanut butter sauce which is also fantastic. You simply order at the cashier and then they'll bring it out to you. Parking costs money on Belcourt but parking by Fannie Mae dees park should be fine. The dumplings themselves are also a little expensive, but worth it. Will definitely return! read more

Baby's first dumplings! Ah!!! I really don't know how I had never tried dumplings before. When I'm feeling Asian cuisine, I typically tend to lean towards sushi or chicken teriyaki... nonetheless, I persisted in this new foodie endeavor. Maya and I indulged in edamames, curry chicken dumplings, and pork & cabbage dumplings. For starters, the edamame was a splendid way to open up my palette -- I order it to commence almost any Asian meal. However, I will note that these peas were incredibly salty, leaving my lips and tongue uncomfortably dry. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the soft texture of the dumplings. I usually prefer a crunchier bite, but every bite felt like it melted in my mouth (drooling rn). Overall, I would definitely hit up a dumpling joint again, but I'd consider ordering different flavors. The curry chicken was far too spicy for my low tolerance, and I'm honestly not a big cabbage girl. Dumpling House is worth a try for a quick meal / catch-up / comfortable vibe! The service was quick, and the environment is bright and warm. Also the chili oil was out of this world. I have never had anything quite like it -- sort of garlicky and umami. Good location, like sitting on the patio. The servers aren't usually very nice, though, and the tables outside can get pretty dirty, but not too bad. There also tends to be a pretty significant wait time for what it is (just boba and dumplings!), especially for to-go orders. Here's what I've tried: -Chicken and Coriander dumplings, steamed: 8/10, exactly what you'd expect, very good. Dip em in soy sauce and you've got a good meal. One 12 count is enough for an average person. (I've also tried the pan fried, and this way it comes with a lot of fried crisp and it is more greasy. Both are really good, just depends on your mood and how greasy/crispy you want them!) -Pickled Asian Cucumbers: 6/10 didn't feel like the cucumbers had marinated enough in the sauce. The vinegary sauve was really delicious and savory, but it seemed as though the cucumbers had been thrown in seconds before serving. Would've preferred more flavor. -Cookies and Cream Boba: 10/10, this is why I would come back. Absolutely adore their cookies and cream boba, though make sure to specify you want it with tapioca pearls. The flavor is biscoff cookie forward which is just magical!! Very sweet, though, not for the faint of heart. I would come back here for boba with my friends or for a casual bite after a Belcourt movie, but not jumping for joy to come back. The cucumbers had good flavor, but the look was less appealing - I couldn't tell if the were broken up by hand or by a fork (looked like an animal gnawed it). The dumplings were disappointing . The dough was very gummy and doughy. No pork flavor from any of the dumplings - bland and flavorless. Sadly, this is my first and last time going to this restaurant. read more

Dumpling house was interesting. The bubble tea was good! Pricey (3 drinks and 3 orders of dumplings came to around $60) and the service and atmosphere was very straightforward; it's one of those no frills, clean up after yourself places, and an unhoused fella and the cashier argued loudly for 10 minutes or so over whether or not he should be able to get some ice for free, which was super awkward for everyone since it's a tiny space. The pork and chive dumplings were good, but the pizza dumplings were confusing, fell apart, and didn't actually have anything to do with pizza? Maybe I am just not understanding the concept, but I just didn't care for them. We ended up throwing away our leftovers because they made the car and the fridge smell pretty bad. read more
