This is where I stay when I go to Lubeck - it was down the street from my grandparents house which was the main reason because she knew our family but also it's just out of the town about a 20 min walk along the river
The street is quiet and the rooms are refreshing.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the breakfast in this place.
If you are an "american" you're not going to get your fry up of eggs and bacon.
Your typical German brekkie is a hard boiled egg, along with hot fresh rolls from the bakery (which are to die for - the butter and bun just melts in your mouth) along with your classic cold cuts and cheese.
If you are ify on those options she also has a some yogurt to the side and some musli.
Of course I always some back to this Pension because we personally know one another and have stayed with her many times that is forms a relationship but her prices are reasonable, it's clean and she is friendly
Last time I saw her she was picking up a few english phrases - of course language is kind of a barrier but she's getting there :)
If you do give her a try - walk to the end of Bulowstr and head into the park to walk towards the town... there are a few lovely picture ops where you can get the whole city in the background if you stand at the top of the hill :)
