Went to Dumas today there were at least six people that did not have a mask. The place is so small there is no way people can stay 6 feet away from one another. The place is not safe from corona. WOW!!! I don't know what kind of meat you are looking for but they have it here. For real. All of their meat is grass fed. It is delicious to eat. We've been buying our meat from them for years. They used to be located in the Hartville Market but the market is being redone and so we found ourselves here at the "farm". I loved their selection at the Hartville Market but the selection here is insane. They have rabbit, goose, duck, chorizo, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, and just anything you can imagine. They have some types of meat that I have not tried before but would be interested in trying not only to eat but to also try cooking. The day we visited they were running fresh chicken tenders for $1.99 a pound. Also, with some items like the ground chuck, the more pounds you buy the cheaper per pound it becomes. Some of the meat is prepackaged but they also have a butcher counter that runs the entire back wall of the store. Now that our kids have moved out we need smaller portions and the employee waiting on us freezer wrapped us smaller portions. That was extremely helpful to us. We bought a little bit of everything. It is so nice to have so many choices when we go to cook dinner. We left not only with a cart full of meat and seafood for us but with a big order for friends of ours. (After they tried the meat they said they were going back for more). The meat is hands down the best. The only way you could get it better would be to walk out and pick a cow and say, "I want this meat." I have friends who have literally done this. But we love a selection-pork, beef, chicken, etc . . .not just a freezer full of beef. There are no preservatives in it so they tell you that if you haven't eaten it with 24 hours to freeze it. It's that fresh. So take a nice drive-for us it's a round 2 hours. It's a great way to get away for the day and to see some of what nature has to show off. read more

Nice selection but very disappointed with the delminicos when I got them home. Through the glass I couldn't see how thin they were and, to make matters worse, the cut wasn't equal with one side tapering down to less than 1/4". There's no way these can be cooked to a medium rare. Very disheartening. Also bought their prepared chicken cordon bleu and the cheese they use really doesn't work in this dish. I spent $175; my first trip will likely be my last. I have much greater success at my local Sam's Club. read more

I couldn't be happier with the customer service I received today. The staff was awesome!! The girl that helped my family was very patient, attentive and knowledgeable. I came into the store and asked for a couple of very specific cuts of beef and they were happy to and without hesitation, go into the back and cut them for me. I travel to Stow from the D.C metro area a few times a year to visit family and always come through and pick up some REALLY nice cuts for myself and a few for family back in Maryland . Disappointed! During the week of August 3d, I ordered bone-in chuck roasts (6 pieces @ 2 1/2" cut), traditional cut. What I got was an abbreviated version of a chuck roast, almost all bone removed, fat removed, one of the major muscles removed to sell as steak. In short, it was not a chuck roast: the whole chuck that includes all the back and shoulder bones, all fat; in short the whole chuck cut to designated thickness. A big disappointment for someone who has cooked and served chuck roast for some 60 years to an appreciative family. (Not to be confused with boiled beef.) When one asks for and is told that they can have a custom cut, that is cut to order, I expect to have what I ordered. As for the beef: So-so. Chuck is one of the best, if not the best cut on a beef for flavor. Yours fell short, by far. No stars for custom cut, 2 stars for the meat for much of the chuck was missing. s c sherman read more

Duma has the best meats and are so helpful behind the counter. Their ground chuck is lean and has great flavor in all my dishes. Even though they don't raise their own chickens, they are flavorful and the breasts grill up wonderfully. But my favorite item that i buy often is the Hungarian mild sausages! This place is outstanding for all of your meaty needs. They have all of your normal cuts along with some scrapple and head cheese. They sell locally made cheeses. They are very helpful. If you don't have a clue about what cut or how to cook it, all you need to do is ask. They also have normal picnic salads, ie cole slaw. I'll start off saying that over the years we have gotten some outstanding steaks here, but now you really don't know what your gonna get. We recently bought some porterhouse steaks and they were awful had to choke them down and most wound up in the trash. Here's a tip when someone buys steaks, at least make an effort to give them steaks with the same thickness and size. We also bought some ground beef, and when I opened the package to cook, the meat had the odor of a barnyard, not sure what would cause this but YUK. After a few minutes in the pan I couldn't stand it and it also wound up in the trash. Now onto the bone in pork chops we bought, we told the counter lady what we wanted and she wrapped them up, when we unwrapped to put in the oven, one of the chops looked great the other two well I'm not even sure what they were, I'm not even convinced they were pork chops, she had to roll them up to wrap them. They looked like road kill. That right there shows they don't care what they sell you just as long as they make the sale. Those also wound up in the trash. So we realized if we shop here we need to have another dinner ready to go if the meats not good. They obviously have some poor meat cutting standards,and will sell you low quality meat just to get it out the door, and it seems to be getting worse. Were done with them. We've been going to Duma meats for years. Never again. Last week we splurged and purchased expensive steaks for valentine's day that were not fresh (brown spots and a slight off odor!!) and ham that smelled like rotten fish when we cooked it. There were several new signs saying their meat is "fresh with no preservatives and must be used within 24 hours or frozen". The steaks we bought last week were cooked no later than 3 hours from when we bought them. I've had fresher steaks from the grocery store. They say all their beef is from their cows, but the beef was coming out of vacuum packed plastic packages. Why? At least we didn't get sick from the steaks that we choked down, but we did NOT eat the ham. The dog enjoyed the ham. I don't know if Jesus can save you from getting food poisoning, but hopefully this post will. (PS. All of their products bare their label, "Jesus Saves" or "Christ is the Answer"). read more

Been buying all my meat/poultry/seafood from Dumas for at least 10 years. One Sunday, I needed an extra pound of ground beef for a meal and I had to go to the grocery since they're not open on Sundays. The difference in the color of the grocery meat made me sick and I'd rather go without meat than get it anywhere else. Dumas prices are AWESOME compared to the grocery and PHENOMENAL compared to Kirby's Meats. On a more personal note, my husband and I got to know the owners through Siesta Key (long story lol) and they are amazing people. That alone is reason enough for me to shop there!
