It wasn't quite yet high tourist season, so was it still easy to find yourself a spot. Its mostly tourists but there are some local Spaniards relaxing along side. The water is calm and looked clean enough for some pleasant swimming. The sand is more rocky than fine, so bring flip flops. And beer! There's a section where you can rent lounge chairs. Topless sunbathing supposedly isn't allowed, but no one is there to enforce the rules, so you might see some boobs, just like any other European beach(A warning for the sensitive "proper" British wives). The abandoned restaurant is creepy yet fascinating, and not nearly as creepy as the few drugged out homeless hippies you might see. But overall, I spent a several hours here happy, relaxed, and slightly intoxicated. Cheers!
TRAVEL TIP: Spain has some beautiful beaches along the Costa del Sol, but most of the water is actually polluted due to inadequate sewage systems. Don't drink the water!
