I choose Dr. Despreaux because of the positive reviews. She was a nice person but not a good…read moredoctor. She did not give me a proper eye exam - it was quick and did not include all the tests that are normally done for an eye exam. I showed her my records and she told me that my sight had not changed. She also told me that I did not need cataract surgery. I knew this was incorrect because I knew that my vision had changed. She promised to send me a follow up letter within the next few days and did not do so. It was also difficult getting my records from her. I went to another doctor because I did not have confidence in her. That doctor told me that if I did not have the cataract surgery, I would need an eye-seeing dog. In other words, I urgently needed cataract surgery. I do not like the idea of leaving a negative review but I think it is important to make informed decisions.
