Our daughter has sensory issues and is fearful and overwhelmed easily however Karla and Brittany did such a great job as soon as she finished she said I want to do this with a group of friends sometime. I can honestly say from when they discreetly weighed them (as they do everyone to make sure they are in the safe weight limits) to when we said goodbye it was the most positive experience for both of them. The gps took us seamlessly to the door even though it was in the middle of a very picturesque country setting. There was plenty of parking and an area to sit and wait until it is your turn to board the vehicles to go to the start of the adventure. The two girls who were their tour leaders were outstanding, Brianna & Karla were fun, funny and attentive to every detail so the adventure through the treetops was not just fun, but safe for everyone. They took all the time each person needed to ensure they all knew what they were doing and felt safe while doing it. Another person and I were not doing the ziplining but they let us join on the ride up to watch the training and the first couple runs they then came back up, picked us up and gave us a ride to a beautiful shelter area to sit and wait for our zipliners to finish. For those doing the treetop tour it included multiple runs of different lengths and heights all along the guides were snapping photos which could be purchased at the end of the tour. Karla and Brittany were amazing at keeping them safe and entertained the whole time they were zipping along free as the breeze. When the group was about to do the long run to finish the adventure one of the ground crew came back and picked us up so we could watch them do the last run and jump off the pole enjoying a couple seconds of safe free fall.

So I sent a message just to make sure that this included the day we planned to go and they told me to check back with them the next day to see if we'd be able to go or not! I asked if I could message them at 7 am and they said yes and that they would be "watching for my message!" So I sent a message a little before 7 asking how the river was that morning with no reply! So I sent another message about 45 minutes later that said it was ok if we couldn't go, but that we had a 2 hour drive so I wanted to make sure either way...again no response! They didn't respond the entire day! Communication is so Important for a business and while I completely understand that the river level is out of their control, a quick message back saying they'd have to stay closed is all I asked for!

They roast, blend, and package their coffee in Dubuque, Iowa. Their name derives from a street in Iowa that contained only five houses comprised of the founder's family. In the early 2000s the street was annihilated to make room for highway expansion, but the name lives on in the coffee. For my first review from their brand, I went with a whole bean bag of their Shot Tower Espresso blend. The company describes that blend as having a " smooth yet sharp character with no bitterness. The delicately dark roast level results in a taste and aroma that is full-bodied with a sweet and creamy complexity." Beans for their signature espresso blend are selected from Central America, South America and Indonesia in order for a unique and nuanced flavor profile. I found this particular roast to not only be delicious, but one of my new favorites. I'll be on the lookout for more of their blends at my local grocer. Once I found out this very-important-information, it was an 1.5 hours after placing my order. I emailed customer services asking about how I could change my order from ground coffee to single-serve. Eric immediately wrote me back and explained that it would be easier to cancel my order, then I could reorder what I did want, as they use a 3rd party credit card processor. I was instantly refund the $ I spent on my original order, so I turned around and bought the single-serve coffee instead. Less than 48 hours after placing my online order my in-laws received their coffee in the Chicago suburbs - super fast delivery. They were thrilled, and I can't say enough good things about Verena Street's products and their customer service. Would love to see them expand their single-serve coffee flavors in the future. The ability to choose a shipping date (especially for the holiday season) would be a nice option, too. Highly recommend.
