I don't live in White Center anymore but when I do visit and needing some caffeine I try to stop by to support Dubsea. Today I needed to get some light work done and decided to swing by before visiting my parents. I knew I was going to get coffee but didn't need it right at that moment and wanted to wait it out. Around 4:00-4:15, the barista, who always seem to work on Sundays during this time, came up as she was cleaning tables and asked if she could get me something and I said not right now but will later. She then said that seats are for customers only and delivered it in a dismissive tone and in a bit aggressive manner. So I said ok and agreed on getting something shortly. But as I continued to sit, I realized our interaction didn't set so well with me. This was very bad customer service. When she chimed in and said "our seats are for customers only", it seemed like she judged me for just freeloading off their WiFi and won't actually order some coffee. When in fact, I've supported Dubsea numerous times in the past. I know this is a shop that supports the community of White Center but my experience felt so uninviting and I'm not sure that's what the company wants to promote. She seemed to be more concerned with kicking people out than actually making money for the shop which is unfortunate. So instead of supporting a small business coffee shop, I traveled a few minutes down to West Seattle where I walked straight in to start my work, was left unbothered and in the end, they got my money cause I eventually ordered some iced coffee! I'm not sure I would ever come back after that experience. Glad Starbucks is now conveniently located in the area. read more

I have to admit that I love Starbucks and have been a fan since 1979; so shoot me because it's my coffee of choice. I decided to give Dubsea a try since I drive by it on the way to the dog park. The venue is nice and modern inside and appears conducive to hanging out. However, their coffee was not good at all; too weak and no gusto. read more

Love Dubsea! Nice neighbor coffee house. The owners are there a lot and patiently deal with picky customers who are searching out the perfect cup of tea. What is my vision of the perfect cup of tea? Breakfast tea steeped for at least 2 min tucked beneath the most beautiful cloud of steamed half n half with 2 teaspoons of honey gentle stirred in. Pure heaven! This place is my local favorite. Dubsea is great! I purchased a London fog and a lumberjack sandwich. It is a cute place and the women working there were very nice!

My favorite place to get coffee near home. Although I'm partial to Seattle coffees, I don't mind the use of Counter Culture because of the atmosphere and environment that is created in this space. I feel a sense of community as I have always seen people sitting and enjoying their beverages and treats every time I have come in. There is a clear invitation for conversation and a place created to get some work done. I think it's an amazing idea that they provide a play area for children and think that sets them apart as a clear leader in thinking about the whole customer they're serving. Stumptown Coffee in the DubSea is always gonna be a winner. The space is nice and chill. The coffee is always made right. There is plenty of street parking in this newer projects type area. The menu and choices are a little cluttered making ordering for a finicky person difficult. read more

At first I tried their iced green tea and didn't like it. The baristas were friendly and offered to help me find a drink I liked. They iced one of their hot teas, Earl Grey, for me which was perfect. Great atmosphere and excellent customer service. read more

This is my go-to place for good coffee before class. The food is really good, too. Service is outstanding, the environment/setting is just perfect. Be careful. You may fall in love with this place,,, or even fall in love IN this place. So many good people, the odds are high you might loose your heart to one of them. Good coffee and friendly staff. While Dubsea Coffee is a nice space with a light airy feeling, I prefer coffee shops to be a bit cozier and warmer, literally. It was freezing in there! Definitely driven towards families as half the shop is a children's play area. read more

Had an appointment and stopped in to grab coffee. Barista greeted me quickly and asked what I needed. I ordered a double tall iced mocha. Was done very quickly and I was on my way! The drink was perfect. read more

I have been to this place a couple times. The lattes are good and the service is friendly. They have games to play and a moderate amount of seating. It doesn't have the best vibe for a coffee shop and isn't a place I would like to spend a lot of time just hanging out though. It seems to fit with the neighborhood which seems a bit modern and uncomfortable. I have never had a problem parking which is nice. No complaints with this place but if you want a nice cozy cafe this is not the place. read more

I've only been here twice so far, but know I'll be back many times more. If you're a fan of Stumptown coffee, as I am, you'll be happy to hear they serve it here. Prices are quite good and there's usually plenty of free street parking nearby too. Aside from the occasional rush here and there, there's plenty of seating and it doesn't get obnoxiously loud. I wish they stayed open a bit later...even just an extra hour would be nice. read more

Cardamon Latte with Hemp Milk is my favorite. Local art! Its so nice to have a business involved with local artists. I've been coming here about 1 year since moving from Beacon Hill to W.Seattle. Parking is always available. The baristas are super friendly and pull a good quality shot. Love Stumptown coffee. The pastries need a little help. Wish they were fresher, and on an eye-level display. Dubsea checks all the boxes with a relaxed atmosphere and AMAZING FOOD and COFFEE! Oh Dubsea, how do I love thee? let me count the ways: First of all, they serve Mighty-O doughnuts and they are to die for. But get there early, because they might run out. I wish all coffee shops carried these doughnuts. Second of all, I am obsessed with the veggie breakfast burrito. They grill it up so the outside and inside are nice and toasty. Thirdly, the Stumptown coffee they serve is delicious and high quality. Lastly and most important: The secret Dubsea whip cream recipe is delightful. I think they add some vanilla and hazelnut to it because it is hearty and flavorful. When they ask me if I want whip cream on my hot drink, I look at them very seriously and say "Please put on as much as you can fit without the tower of whip cream falling over." They happily obliged because they love their products even more than I do. read more

I love how Dubsea is just a short walk away. Whenever I'm heading to work I stop by and order a latte to go. The baristas there are so friendly and their customer service is on point, not like other coffee shops where you walk in and feel ignored. If you want hot or blended mochas...this isn't the place. I haven't found better. Mochas are just amazing! The breakfast sandwiches are all pretty decent too. First time in, pleasantly surprised to find in the area! They serve Stumptown, one of my favorites, and a great selection of pastries, including gluten free and dairy free options (still a decent variety at 2pm)! Very friendly, and clean, with normal Seattle coffee shop prices. Excited to find this in the neighborhood! read more
