The norm is sub-par food, ordered from some centralized "Asian buffet supply superstore". Asia Khan is different in that much of the buffet food appears to be actually cooked by the restaurant and not just reheated packaged food. That's not to say it is as good as freshly cooked, but pretty darn good. The standout is the Mongolian grill offering. If you're not familiar: You pick you meat and vegetables, then let them stir-fry it for you. One unique thing is that one of the meats is kangaroo meat; it is very lean and tender. One thing missing here are the plethora of sauces/marinades that you find at traditional Mongolian places, but you can cobble something together all the same. The food was cooked very well and actually allowed to brown. As a bonus, they include ice cream as well. When you take into account the price (under 8 Euros during the week for lunch), you're talking about a HUGE bargain. If you like Chinese food and don't mind the step-down associated with buffets, then this is highly recommended.

What a joke. Over cooked, literally MASHED rice with zero flavor and frozen fish. Of course the fried foods were sopping with grease. What else would you expect? Although service was friendly and attentive, I was given mean looks because I refused to finish what I had on my plates. The teppan yaki section SEEMS impressive at first, until a closer look and you realize everything has been defrosted. Kangaroo meat?! For real?! Sea bass?! You're joking. Of the 10-12 different kinds of meat & fish, there were only about 4 different types of veggies and two starches. I'd arrived to eat here at around 8 - they close at 10:30 - by the time I got to this section, I was surprised to see most of the fish had been restocked....they just threw frozen fish on top of what had been sitting out for hours. I lost my appetite. Let's try some fruit....fresh from a can. No biggie....if only the fresh fruit they did decide to chop up hadn't been bruised and looked like it was picked from a dumpster. The ice cream freezer - with about 20 different cheap ice creams & sorbets - was just plain filthy. The general upkeep of the quality and cleanliness is severely lacking. I should've known after my mother almost slipped and fell on the greasy floor. I won't be back and neither will my family.

It's obviously a better deal to order the all you can eat (11.80 euro). The waitress was pleasant and explained to us how to use the iPad system to order your food. There isn't an English option so if you cannot speak German like me, it's difficult but if you have a phone you could use google translate. The food was delicious, and you can get 5 portions of food per round. The sushi portions are only 3 pieces of the roll tho so plan accordingly. They offer al you can eat sushi and all you can eat food the portions are small though. When we wanted to pay it was so confusing because a different waiter came to collect money from us and he couldn't speak any English at all and was being rude and pointing to the check as we kept asking him if we could split the bill. It was very nerve wrecking. Overall, I would consider coming here again if I have someone who can speak German with me.

The platter we received bore absolutely no resemblance to what is in the photo. Mostly rolls consisting mostly of rice, and very little actual fish, and no rolls like the ones in the photo. Waiters were wonderful -- but food was very disappointing. When we complained, they insisted that because item was described as a "big surprise" they could serve anything they wanted, even if it bore no resemblance to the photo!
