A place that simply was not there. It was time. I scoured the internet for the least sinister sounding dentist. I found Gentle Touch Dental. Not only do I like things that rhyme, but I also like a dentist that is gentle. I have now been attending this practice for almost three years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My wisdom tooth extraction was exceptionally difficult, for them, not me, I was in the land of happy gas. I had no complications post surgery and I healed up nicely. They are great and I'd highly recommend them for people who are scared of the dentist.

Every nurse, receptionist, and dentist I've come across is there to get the job done promptly and get you out of there. They are nice, but know that you've probably got better things to do than be at the dentist. They're always gentle on my mouth and have tv's mounted on the ceiling to distract you while they're digging around. I've since moved out of Drummoyne, but will continue driving back when I have an appointment because I like them and don't want to risk trying elsewhere.

I am "terrified" of Dentists (tortured 60 years ago by one!), so his lovely assistant held my trembling hands throughout most of the root canal procedure. I went white at the words "root canal" - so many bad stories. Dr Jag made sure constantly that l was in no pain. I felt no paint whatsoever during the procedure and even had stitches. Dr Jag was very lovely the entire time. So much so that l will be returning (miracles "do" happen!!) for further treatments ... following about 20 years of neglect (from being afraid to go). Dr Jag got the entire abscess and sack out and after a couple of neurophen l've been as good as gold.

The phobia stems from a disastrous experience as a youngster that should never be happened to anyone in any life time. Fortunately things have changed now. The dentist was reasonable with the payment and values me as a patient. The dentist showed great concern for my welfare...which I find a rarity in this hard cold world at times. This particular dentist is sharing the medical centre with an optometrist. It can be a little strange at first but as soon as I arrived. their friendly staff greeted me. They were very helpful and after a couple fo minutes I was accepted into the surgery room on time. The dentist was very professional and provided me with a painless treatment. She was also very patient and explained to me in detail the procedure. This helped me feeling more relaxed as I knew what was coming. Since I was a tourist, I didn't schedule an appointment and inquired if I could get it fixed relatively quickly. The dental assistant at the front desk was friendly and was quick in offering to find out what the cost would be for me since I don't have insurance in Australia. Since it wasn't too busy at the time I went in, the dentist, Dr. Dong, was able to see me immediately. He was careful in assessing where the problem area was and grinded my retainer down to make it much more comfortable for me. Pretty swift for a relatively young dentist! He wasn't a chatty Cathy, which I appreciate, but was friendly in asking me how I was, how I've been enjoying Sydney, etc. The assistant who aided him in the room was also nice and professional. The clinic itself was nice and clean, and the waiting space is tastefully decorated. There are even some toys for kids to play with! The actual room I was in had a TV up on the ceiling for me to watch the news; nice touch to distract patients or at least calm them down a bit!

I was quietly surprised. Today I saw the Dental Hygienist and it was so much better than what I've experienced before. Everyone in the practice were super friendly and have great smiles!
