The Druids Head is located on the corner of Bank Street in Herne Bay. My friends and I often visit at some point over the weekend and end up spending most of the night in there.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the Druids Head changes on a regular basis. During the week it is normally rather empty, bar several regulars and seasoned drinkers. If a sports event is on they will show it on one of the two widescreen televisions and actually have the sound on, which seems to be a rare thing in the pubs of Herne Bay.
On a Friday or Saturday night the pub is normally heaving with all different kinds of people, however younger people are the most represented. The atmosphere in this pub is always good and often when a darts competition or pool game is being played everyones in a competitive mood.
Drinks: No offers here. But drink prices are reasonable. From memory a pint of Strongbow is £3.40 and a small (half pint) of lemonade is £1.20. My only gripe is they don't do Stella or many other lagers on tap. They do however have Oranjeboom on tap.
Staff: No matter who you get behind the bar your going to get good friendly service with a smile and a goodbye when you leave.
Overall: The Druids Head is a fantastic town pub that gives you the opportunity to sit down and have a quiet pint or watch whatever football match is playing on the telly in the company of other sports fans. read more
