Not my first choice of Post Office, but since I was a) visiting my brother in Dromore, and b) needed to urgently post a card to my friend in Australia (I have a funny feeling it'll take more than a week to get there...darn), it was the handiest one to me at this particular time.
The Post Office in Dromore really bears quite a good resemblance to the town centre itself - it's a bit dingy and faded, as well as being pokey and minimal, bless it. Apart from the usual Post Office services, the only other thing in the place were a few greetings cards, and even they looked like they'd seen better days.
The girl who served me was certainly much more pleasant than her surroundings, and kudos to her, she was very polite and patient with me. The fact that my little parcel only came to £1.82 added to my contentment, so it really wasn't all that bad at all. A wee facelift wouldn't go amiss mind you... read more
