I would like to start off mentioning that I made a yelp account specifically to rate this screen…read moreprinting facility. Under categories, I was forced to put down Professional Services in order to list their business. They were neither professional, nor much of a service. Here's my story - I was looking around the Northwest trying to locate a screen printer who can make custom shirts. The service that I was looking for was different because I wanted to get custom names on the back of the shirts. While many screen printers would charge extra for the custom lettering - I find a gem in the coals that would do them at no additional costs. Or so I thought. Let me give you a little background about myself. I am a graphic designer by trade. I know how to send designs, detailed responses and held a professional standard for all of my projects. ThreaDesign and I got into contact through email and we proceeded to exchange information, ideas, pricing, and I felt comfortable continuing with the transaction. I sent them visual mock-ups of all the sides of the shirts through Photoshop, detailed descriptions of how the shirts were to be made through emails, and I even made mock ups through their design program and sent them those images to work with. I sent them the down payment that they requested, and asked them to SEND ME a visual mock up of what they envisioned the final product would look like. Everything checked out and I was glad that they were accommodating with my requests and kept in touch with me on a very up-to-date basis. Here's the train wreck. Since I had friends who were closer locals than I was, I had them pick up the shirts. The first thing my friends ask me were, "I thought our logo's are suppose to be space green". I sweated bullets. I thought my friend was just messing with me, or perhaps he was talking about the wrong shirt. Nope. They had all the colors on the designs swapped, and all the placements for the logos and icons unaligned, and misplaced. Some of the icons and logos were NOT even identical locations on the same sized shirts. I immediately wrote them telling them how disappointed I was with their print job. I demanded an explanation and drove 2 hours to their shop to get this product returned. Their response? "I reviewed this a couple of times with you and we did discuss the issues that might confuse the printer. For the money paid this is what we delivered. We are very sorry for this situation. But on custom print jobs there are no refunds." I was absolutely infuriated. I was being charged +200 dollars for shirt that were absolutely butchered by their printers, and they refused to refund me and asked for another +200 payment in order to get the shirts reprinted because they cannot reprint on the same shirts. I dropped the shirts off at the tables and left. The first thing I did when I got home was filed a claim against them. They replied by saying that they would redo the shirts for free. As the consumer, I didn't feel safe with this option. They were so adamant about not giving me a refund, and their first print job was so poor I just didn't think it would be a good investment of my time or money to continue with this screen printer - but my time constraints were so tight. They had all the files and all the specs. I went in and expressed what went wrong with the shirts and explained how they should of been fixed. I went ahead and decided to give them another chance. The estimated time was Monday, December 5th, 2011. I emailed them on that same day. Their reply: "We are still working on the order. They should be ready by the end of the week." I instantly went to paypal and escalated the claim and canceled the order. Do not go here or Agape Label (The payment was going towards that account name so I'm assuming that both of these firms are affiliated with one and other) if you value good professionally done products or service that doesn't make you want to pull out your own hair. I've also enclosed a URL [ http://imgur.com/a/Pwy0j ] for a imgur link to the images of the emails conversations that I had with their correspondent Alex. There, you can view every word that was sent to each other throughout the design process as well as the design mock ups, logo and icon files, and the written details.

I contacted this company in a desperate attempt to have someone help me design and print 200 shirts in 2 weeks because the company I had been working with in Longview, WA completely fell off the face of the Earth 2 weeks prior to a 5k walk my family and I were putting on for our 4 year old niece diganosed with brain cancer. Registrations had already been sent and shirt orders coming in so re-scheduling was not an option. Alex responded immediately to my email, he met the price the other company had offered and helped us work the graphic issues out. He maintained great communication, even pulled a super late nighter to get all of the shirts done 2 days ahead of the walk so I could get them to begin distribution. He knew I was nervous about the final product but he texted me a picture of the first shirt as it came off the press for my approval and it was fantastic! I would recommend this company to anyone. Here is a link to a short You Tube video of the walk and you can see the shirts in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm0hCkItfYs&feature=youtu.be

I L.O.V.E. my new website! Not only does it LOOK amazing, but within a day I had my first contact form completed and received 4 leads in about a week (I think I got 4 forms completed in 2 years from my old site). I even booked a new client today! Having a new website is fun, but having a GOOD website is important and having a GREAT website, like I got, makes it worth every penny! The team at Northwest Media Collective each has a role. I had a designer, a developer, a coder all working on it, but most importantly I had an AWESOME Project Manager!!! Katie is the perfect liaison between their team and me (the client with no real understanding of how websites are made). I had a weekly review on the progress and excellent communication in between. My branding is important to me (all the way down to the specific color hue) and Katie was able to communicate that so that I got everything I wanted/expected from the design. There were very few bugs to work out the week prior to the launch and I haven't found any mistakes or issues with the site at all. They are hosting it. They can do SEO. They can even handle my social media posts for me (not doing it yet, but probably soon). If you're considering a new website, don't waste time and money trying to do it yourself or finding some kid that knows how to make a website cheap, call Northwest Media Collective. The investment in a great site should result in a worthwhile return! Mine already has!
