Today, my wife and I were at the Eye Center on 581 Davis Drive and called Today's Taxi to take us to Albery Crescent in Aurora. The people on the phone were nice, and the cab arrived at the back door for us, which was great. However, the ride took a turn for the worse. Instead of continuing south on Bayview to Vandorf, which would have been the quicker route, the driver turned west onto Saint Johns Side Road and then to Yonge Street. I mentioned that we were likely to hit traffic and many stoplights, but he didn't respond. After a long drive filled with lights, traffic, and slow driving, the fare came to $39.00. Just a week prior, my wife had taken a similar ride for $25, though she couldn't remember the company name. Unfortunately, it seems that this taxi service doesn't prioritize customer experience, so we'll be removing them from our contact list.
