I must say, I think my experience with this Drive Test Centre was the same as Annie's... and based on her description of the examiner she had, I suspect we even had the same lady! I went to this location for my entire licence (G1 through to G) and never had an issue with anyone or any process (save for the fact that I never seem to have enough ID to prove who I actually am!). I also looked up the test routes online and practised them. I found this site to be helpful for maps: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/ontario-driving-test-routes-839761/ There was one route that I didn't like, the Hwy 2 route, which takes Hwy 2 to Lawson Road, down and around the streets and then back onto Hwy 2. I remember the first time I tried it; I was coming around the ramp to get back onto Hwy 2 and BAM there's stop sign right smack at the end of the ramp! I remember thinking, 'Who's bright idea was it to put a stop sign there??? How am I expected to merge at 80kms from a dead stop? @$#%!!!..' *sigh* Good thing I practised that route a lot because, yup, you guessed it, that's the route I was instructed to take for my G licence! I was tested on nearly everything. Parallel parking, emergency stop, 3-point turn, lane change lane change lane change, etc.. The only thing I didn't have to do was reverse park, but that might have been because I backed into my spot when I first got there. My daughter took her G test here and the woman evaluator was rude, mean and unprofessional. She started yelling at my daughter before the test even started for getting out of her car to greet her. Through the test she was rude, aggressive and contradictory - really to the point of being abusive. . Had my daughter in tears. It's a shame people like this are employed in positions facing the public. I should have read the reviews first and booked another location. Steer clear of this place. The woman was too rude to give her name or i'd call her out directly but if management is not asleep at the wheel they will know who this person is. Just terrible. read more

I would give this place no stars if I could. I came here for my G2, while I waited for my reviewer she came out and stood there like I knew she was for me, she then proceeded to yell my name in a sarcastic tone. I told her "that's me" and she kissed her teeth and told me "okay then". She got in the car didn't make eye contact once and kept rolling her eyes at me while explaining the rules. We started driving and a man J-walked on his bike and I had to break on a main road and she told me that's why I failed. We proceeded to drive and she told me to parallel park behind "that blue car" there was a black car closer to me and a blue car 6 or 7 houses down. I barely passed the black car and she kissed her teeth and yelled at me "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" i breaked and said "i'm going to parallel park behind the blue car" and she said "THAT BLUE CAR- oh it's black" and don't apologize. I sat there wondering what she wants me to do now since she messed up causing a fault of my end... I looked in my rear view mirror to see if I could reverse to parallel park and there was a school bus behind me, i pulled to the side and put my hazards on to let him pass. He passed and once again she yelled at me "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" and I told her I couldn't reverse because there was a bus, she kissed her teeth at me again and i offered to parallel park behind the car 6 houses down and she said "it doesn't work like that" and kissed her teeth again. I was ready to tell her to get out and walk back to the drive test centre. I'm not a person that can't handle attitude but this was an insane amount of attitude and imitation. I cant remember her name but she was darker skinned, i wanna say her background was of an Asian descent, had black roots with yellow blonde hair starting from her ears and it was puffy hair and not brushed. Today was my G license test. I normally don't write reviews but my excellent experience motivated me to give this review. It was amazing from the first moment I parked my car at the center and left after passing my test. I don't have to wait for long because they were taking you in after asking about your time for the test. When I went inside the lady gave me very clear instructions in a very welcoming tone. After registering, she again guided me. My examiner's name was Mandy, very professional, gave me clear instructions before moving in a very calm, polite, and positive way. I think she is a great example for others!! Everyone in this center from front to the people sitting inside and the examiner is doing amazing work, not like other centers. I just passed G2 on my first try. I was incredibly anxious but the examiner was very nice and upbeat. She was a blonde with curly hair. The route was fairly easy to navigate. I didn't have to wait very long at all, thankfully. My first negative review ever (I'm a pretty upbeat guy..) Went there to book my M1 exit test, as per the Drivetest intructions on their website. Waited approx. 1/2hr in line only to be told that motorcycle M1 exit road tests stopped in October, and I had to wait until next spring, pay to take my M1 written test all over again, and then book the M1 exit test before October of next year! And when I asked how was I supposed to know, they said to come in and find out, just like I did. Hey everyone. I came to this location for my G1, G2, and G, and every time I was able to pass on the first go. I used to think this was the best place to come for a road/written test, and I still do because I personally had good experiences, but I now realised the customer service here is pretty close to disgusting. This past week I've been here a few times (for my father's reexamination and my sisters G1). For whatever reason every time we were here, the staff was always in a rush and had no patience to talk to their customers. I understand that they try to make a fast check in and check out, but when they're dealing with elderly people (such as my father) they just don't care. That day not only did I notice that kind of behaviour towards my father, but to other elderly people as well. It's time for an attitude check for Drive Test's employees. As a waitress who works through rushes day in and day out, I laugh when I see such struggle to keep patience because the rush here is child's play compared to the rush at a restaurant. I don't mean to brag, but the truth will always be the truth. We're here this morning, as I write, for the last part of my father's reexamination (road test) and we got here at 8am (because they aren't open till 8:30, yet they advised that we be here half hour early) and it is now 9:30 and the first person scheduled hasn't even gone out yet. And the person at desk 7 seems she woke up at the wrong end of the bed, as usual this week. So yes, come here to get your test done because it's super easy (the driving instructor might even fall asleep while you're driving... It happened with me back in the day, hahaha), but be prepared for some really b****y attitude from the staff behind the desk (I apologise for my language). Good luck all! read more

I've always wondered why do the instructors have to have a resting bitch face and carry on without being friendly to the people doing the exam. Like do they not promote customer service here once they are in the car with the student driver? I mean I understand that they have to be firm, professional, yada, yada, yada, but please! A simple, short friendly conversation to warm up the aura/ energy would be nice! Too judgy! It's like this is where the evil Disney villains live! I feel that only my parents and God can judge me, but unfortunately I have to face these people to get a nice looking G in my blue card. The lady I had maneuvered my steering wheel stating that I was so close to hitting the island. Like girl please! I know where I'm going and we didn't hit anything! I wish we could question their judgements too (I didnt talk back because I dont want to offend her or let her think that im trying to be a smartass- I just stayed meek, humble, and I kept nodding my head). I've been to Oshawa before for my G2 testing, but I thought I could try Port union because everyone says that this is easy peasy. Not true especially if you get the grumpy workers! The parking lot in the back of the test center is not suitable for the purpose of the test center, it's inclined and narrow, a big challenge, I would say. I had the test there and when I returned, the examiner asked me to front park in the back of the building, which was a challenge. When front parking you don't see any yellow lines, so you don't know if you parked correctly. Especially if you are new driver, that is a challenge. I had to do a reverse parking in the parking from the plaza as well (in front of Dollarama). That is not a suitable parking lot!!! My examiner at Port Union was extremely nice and lenient. He genuinely wanted me to pass unlike other places where the examiners are out there to get you like shark (eg Oshawa). The queue was smooth even though it was weekend I had no problems. read more

It deserves -5 stars. First of all, you walk in and can barely get a number. Huge crowd around the door. They could have moved closer to the middle of the room, but for some reason choose to block everyone. Secondly, the place is gross. Dirty. No trash cans. The women's restroom was out of order?!?! Hope you don't need to use the bathroom throughout the hours you'll spend there. Then the drink machine had NOTHING! No water, juice, nada. And there were maybe 40 seats, but tons of space so most people had to stand. So uncomfortable. To me those are basics? Trash cans, bathroom, seats?! How can you not have any of that? Then the crowds were downright dangerous at times. If there was an emergency it would have been bad. The wait times are horrid. It's to be expected to an extent, but I waited 2.5 hours just to switch an out-of-province license. I hope I never have to go back again. read more

Went for my drive test my examiner Henry was a joke. He was in a bad mood only waiting for his shift to be finished. In the car he was making stupid hand motions throughout and telling me to go faster even in the parking area. He wanted me to match the maximum speed limit and was getting agitated cause I was driving 5 or 6 km below. He even asked me if I was okay since his majesty requested numerous times that I should increase the speed limit. He failed me only because of this. Stay clear of him if you want to pass. read more

I went here for my G2 and G road tests and found the experience to be better than I read online. Passed both my road tests on the first go at this location! The employees and examiners that I've dealt with were all pleasant. The female checking me into my G road test did it efficiently and even seemed to mean it when she said "good luck!" The G test examiner I got was great! He introduced himself right away and had a very calm demeanour about him. I was worried about having one of the examiners I had read about on here being rude because in a stressful test situation that is the last thing you want! The examiner, William, was great. He was very calm and neutral during the whole test. After checking my lights, horn, brake lights, we were off. Drove through the parking lot and into a residential area. Did a road side stop and a 3-point turn. Then it was off to the 401. Was on the highway for about half the test time where I did a few lane changes. Exited then went back on the opposite direction to get back to go back to the centre. Took a left at Rylander, then when we were in the parking lot, was asked to reverse park into a space beside a truck. I had reversed into the parking spot at the beginning of the test so it was easier for me to go (and just in case it meant I didn't have to reverse during the test), but still had to do a reverse park with him in the car. We continued to the back of the Drive Test centre and was asked to drive into a parking space between two cars. After that, he congratulated me and was on his way to another test. The whole test lasted about 20 minutes. When I went into the Centre, I was called right away, I didn't even have time to sit down. All in all, much better experience that I had read about on here so I thought I'd add my two cents! I would have to say this was the worst place I've ever taken any of my tests at. I got my G1 from Morningside, my G2 from Victoria Park, and so I figured I'd give Port Union a shot for my G but boy was that a mistake. The test examiner was rude, insensitive, all of his instructions were quite last minute. On the hwy I only had a few seconds to take the off ramp because he left the instruction so last minute. I failed because as I approached the light was green at Kingston rd and Sheppard ave and rolled over the crosswalk it turned yellow and he starts yelling stop stop and so I did (even though no traffic was going through) and then it turned red and because I was on the crosswalk I failed. That was literally 4 minutes into the test and despite the fact I did perfect on everything else it didn't matter. I've known people who've taken their test there 3 times and only passed on the 3rd. All they want is their money meeting their Toronto fail quota. All I have to say is of all the centre's I've tried out they've got to be the worst, not simply because I failed but just the attitude from some of their examiners. read more

I did both my G2 and my G test at this location. I was tested by different women for each test and in both cases I felt I was treated well and tested fairly. It is easy to get paranoid about road tests after reading stories posted online, but the examiners in both my road tests made me feel very comfortable. I'll speak about the G test as it is more fresh in my memory. I found that the G test is mostly about your confidence and consistency on the road, and less important are specific maneuvers like getting a perfect parallel park (I was a little off from the curb. It didn't matter) or even normal parking (as long as you can adjust it right, you're good). From what I can tell from the horror stories, the main candidate for failing the G test is doing any action that causes either you or another driver to have to do something unnatural to avoid a collision. It's better to be extra-careful than to risk any sort of unnatural situation, which will be an automatic fail. For example, you're not going to fail if you go a little over or under the speed limit, or forget to check your mirrors occasionally. However, if you do something like turn into a lane when an oncoming car is too close, or try to merge into the freeway going at a slower speed than the traffic already there, you will probably fail because it will cause the traffic behind you to have to brake or respond unnaturally. The examiners want to see that you can navigate through roads and traffics in a consistent and safe manner without posing a hazard to other vehicles or yourself. What they don't want to see is a driver who is unsure about his decisions. It is definitely worth it to check out the area around the test center as well as the highway routes. The highway 2A route (to Lawson and back) is a piece of cake, as the highway is generally empty. The only awkward spot is getting back on once you're at Lawson, as the entrance has a stop sign right before merging (simply wait until the coast is very clear, then accelerate to 80 as fast as you can. If you see a car anywhere close by, wait as long as you need until you can safely get in and accelerate to 80) The 401 is obviously busier with nearly everyone speeding (which makes it awkward for you to try and maintain 100km/hr while changing lanes and so on), and routes on the 401 usually require you to immediately get back on the 401 once you exit, which, depending on the exit, is a little awkward. Just practice going from Port Union to Morningside or Nelson. Overall, based on my small sample size of 2 examiners, I would definitely recommend this location. I felt that I was tested for my general driving ability, and not for little idiosyncrasies, which is how it should be. read more

Like others, I went to Port Union for both my G1 and G2 exit tests and passed both times on the first try. Port Union is great because the check-in and check-out process is quick and efficient. I think when you are feeling antsy/excited for a drive test you really don't want to wait too long in lines, the process was very smooth and I actually started earlier then my appointment because they were so prepared. I made my appointment for a Tuesday at 10:15 AM because it was a great time to avoid heavy traffic while having the test done nice and early in the morning. Both my examiners were nice and introduced themselves and they certainly made me feel comfortable. For my G2 exit (I did this yesterday) I had backed into the spot, so I signalled right and drove out of the parking lot. Try your best to park your vehicle in one of the first spots, they are the most manageable and flat spaces in that lot. I connected onto Kingston Road and drove down to Altona, then turned left at the second light. In this residential area, I did a roadside stop and a three-point-turn. After leaving this area I went back onto Altona to Kingston Road, then headed Westbound on the 401 to Morningside, got off and then headed back Eastbound to Port Union. I did lane changes on the road and on the 401 and just made sure to over pronounce my mirror/blind spot checks as well as keeping a clear eye on my speed. I then went back to that (awful) back lot of the Drive Test Centre and did a reverse park and a forward park. I must be honest and say that my parks did not go very well, I kind of got in my head and took way longer then I should have doing them. I find that back lot was the most intimidating part of the test as many spots are narrow, on angles, or have a small amount of space to align your wheels so you can pull-in straight. My advice would be to think it through and don't get pessimistic like I did before I began the parks. My examiner was a female with dark-skin and probably in her mid-thirties. She was very clear with her directions and was nice to drive with. As much as my parks we're not very good I still passed and I think this was largely because I checked my mirrors/blind spot and speed very obviously and frequently. I would also make sure to merge onto the 401 at 98-100, they definitely check to make sure you're merging at a safe speed and maintaining that speed. I highly recommend Port Union, I find the area is easy to navigate and the Examiners are clear and approachable. Good luck to anyone going for a test! read more

If you need to do a driving test for your G2 or G, come here! This place is as good as it gets! I came here 1 week ago to get my G license and don't regret it one bit. The test itself was a piece of cake thanks in large part to my examiner (who was a male) and was very friendly and laid back. I did not have to perform any parallel parking for the test mainly because I don't think they have pylons laid out at the facility to do the test. So basically here was my test: 1) started by going thru the residential area (make sure you stop before the white line and wait for 2 seconds while looking around)... 2) went on 401 expressway and was told to do a couple lane changes. 3) was told to exit at morning side and was taken to another residential area where I had to perform an emergengy stop and then perform the K-turn. 4) Got back on the 401 and did 2 more lane changes. 5) exited 401 and headed by towards Rylandr blvd. 6) was asked to reverse park in the parking lot.... That's it. Overall, the test was aprox 15-20 mins max. And I felt the biggest thing their looking for is how confident you are and if your paying attention to whats around you. Good luck! read more

Thanks for the heads up. Alot of ppl told me to take my test at Port Union and I didn't listen to them (a hard head makes for a soft @$$).Will definitely give it a try. Now the Drive Centre at Vic Park & Lawrence, I am certain they were out to fail me from the beginning. First of all, the duration of my test was almost half an hour. Every one I spoke with didn't last longer than 15min. Secondly, the examiner had me do the: 3 point turn, Parallel, Reverse, and front parking (which I did correctly). Lastly and ultimately, they failed me for turning on yellow light (mind you I had no other choice, I would impeding traffic if I didn't). Oh before I forget, and he had the nerve to say I should be doing the hand over hand, (as oppose to the milking the cow technique) which is only a minor. Weak! I have heard of horror stories related to Drive tests but the Port Union location was pretty solid. TEST TIMES Mon-Sat 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This gives ppl the opportunity to be tested on the weekend. I had my test on a Tuesday. The whole process took about an hour and a half (from the time arriving to the time you finish all the paperwork when you pass). THE PROCESS You need to arrive to the test centre 1/2 hr early. You first go in and the first thing you see is the information booth. So you line up there (the line was never longer than 2 ppl) and ask the person what to do. The information teller was kind and told me to take my car to the back and line up at the booth #7 for registration. So you take your car to the back and park it (Hint, back in car b/c it's easier to drive out during test). The only thing I didn't like was that the parking in the back was very narrow as you drove further along. Many of the parking spots were uphill on a slant. So backing in was more challenging. Registration at booth 7 was very fast. They took my drivers license, asked me the type of car I was driving and the license plate, and told me to wait in the car for my examiner. So I waited for about a 1/2 b/c my examiner was about 10 min late. I'd say the lateness of 10 min wasn't too bad but waiting in the car is nerve-wracking so I'd suggest bringing something to read. She came and asked to check my lights etc. Did the test. We returned to the test centre (she asked me to park in the back again), she told me I passed and went inside. The instructions weren't clear of what I was suppose to do so I went to the information booth again. They gave me a number and told me to wait until my number was called. When it was called, they gave me a temporary license and then I was off! TEST ROUTE So I thought the route was standard for G2 (route found online) so I practiced that like no tomorrow. I also practiced around in the area. But to my surprise, they took me to a completely foreign area. Serves me right! EXAMINER My examiner was this thin blond lady. She was respectful to me when she told me to show her my left/right signals. She clarified any instructions that weren't clear. She gave a lot of notice of when to turn right/left. She didn't introduce herself though. Pretty good experience at Port Union. I'd suggest for ppl to take their test here. read more

I have heard and read many bad things about the Port Union drive test center so I felt it was necessary to share my positive experiences at this location. I got my G1, G2, and G all at this location and passed each of them on my first try. Coincidentally, I did my G2 and G driving test with the same examiner... (Shout-out to examiner 367 because he is awesome!). He made me feel very comfortable because of his friendliness and gave clear instructions while on the road. I made a few minor mistakes on the road and he corrected me on the spot without yelling at me or making me feel bad, making it feel more of a learning experience than a nerve-wrecking test. The only thing that I dislike about this center is the parking lot. Depending on how busy it is (and how good of a driver you are), it may be difficult to park because the spots are narrow, some are on small slopes, and some are slightly crooked. Otherwise, my experience was great. But I also think who you get as an examiner can make or break whether you pass/fail and how your experience is... But I guess this goes for anywhere. read more

I am a senior driver and being most unfortunate got a driving ticket and my G license being suspended. I need to take the G Licence retest. Misfortune never comes singly, I had the first and second tests failed at the New Market Test Center, regardless how well I done in both tests, I was given "fail". Much later I learnt from the Reviews that both examiners are well known of failing Seniors at least for one or two times.... before they will give you pass! So I decided to come this Center for a trail and today I met a very polite and knowledgeable lady examiner, Eva !!! She gave very clear and precise instructions in a subtle way that I felt calm and much at ease. As before I did all I have to do in the proper way for driving and I had a very positive condition to drive in taking the test and of course I passed ! This place is a joke. I did perfect on everything on the test however as S.D. on his review I had a similar experience. Had to make a left but there was a car ahead of me and he edged out he was committed but by then the light was fully red so i stayed BEHIND the white line since it is illegal to make a left on a red and the instructor says you could have went I said no I would block the intersection and that is illegal. Personally I thought it was a trick question but it wasn't. He said I failed cause I was (verbal) What a joke he asked me a question and he thinks I was being a smart ass. Like I asked my uncle and he said he knows a person that has failed at this location 9 times. So today I took my exam at the Oshawa test center. Passed everything with perfection. Literally the WORST experience of my life. I went there for my G1, G2, and G test and every time I've had the meanest, most rudest instructors of my life. I passed my G1 and G2 test, but for my G the lady was not too forgiving. She didn't like that I was confirming her directions so that I knew where to go throughout the test. She made me parallel park where it was nearly impossible not to steer onto the drive way and when she told me I failed that portion of the test, I pulled out and she asked me very rudely, "UM WHERE ARE WE GOING?" and I replied with, "I'm sorry I thought you said that if I hit the driveway I failed that portion of the test (which was true) and she said to me very sternly, "I tell you where we're going". At the end of the test she told me that my driving was good, my lane changes and stuff were perfect but I didn't pass the test. All of the instructors seem to have a real power trip and a HUGE ego. Every one I know around the area has either steered clear of this location, or has chosen a different location out of their way to avoid the idiocy that is present. Although, you might pass the test if they're in a good mood, you run a huge risk of catching them on their bad side (which seems to be all of the time). Needless to say, I will be going far out of my way to avoid EVER going back to this location. I'm not going to risk paying ANOTHER $86 just to fail again. If you want to fail, I would suggest this location. Utterly terrible people. Best of luck, you'll need it. read more

This is THE WORST place to take your driving test. The people ARE RUDE, and do whatever they can to FAIL YOU or Make you pay some fee. I did the entire test perfect and the woman made me reverse park at the end although I am allowed to correct my move into the space the woman FAILED me without giving me the chance! She was a mean manly looking blonde woman who just looks like she hates life. I had to go back to G1 and start over again which THEY KNEW very well. The second time I had AGAIN done the whole test PERFECT, the tester another RUDE asian man made me make a 2 lane change too close to the intersection so I had to change quickly and he FAILED me again. No normal person would have made that type of lane change and I told him I would have just found another route, HE DIDN'T care and I know he wanted to just fail me for something. The cherry on top was Because I did my g1 over again they just copied all my info over to it and didn't change the fact I do not need glasses anymore and I DID the eye exam too, THEY CHARGED ME $150 because it still says I need glasses still NOT MY FAULT!!!! These people are absolutely terrible and I suggest you NEVER NEVER give your time to these bloody fools. read more

I recently had the worst examiner at the Victoria Park location. She was in her mid-late thirties with short black hair (bob-like) and Asian. She was totally on a power-trip. Needless to say, she failed me, but before doing that, almost killed both of us. While we were on the Don Valley Northbound, as I was changing lanes, she decided it wasn't a good time so took my steering wheel and turned it back onto my left lane - a dumb ass move because she could've killed both of us. Anyway, I retested this past week and passed with flying colours. The guy was so nice, calm and professional. I feel like launching a complaint againt this other woman. I went here for my written test and that went fine. Although I expect the written test to be the same at every location.. Now for my G1 driving test. To start off I felt pretty confident in my driving and thought I had practised enough but I still felt a little nervous. So anyway I am sitting in my driving instructors vehicle waiting for the examiner to come out. Then I see this huge douche looking guy wearing sunglasses, a toque and hands in his sweater pockets walk out and of course this is my driving examiner. After the light check he walks in and sits without saying anything and after a few seconds he says "Well are you going to start," in a very rude voice confirming his ass-hole status. By this point I was pretty nervous and I screwed up near the start (which was my own fault but he will give you very last second instructions). I knew then I screwed up and knew it was over because he kept writing like crazy on his paper. After giving me very last minute instructions to change lanes and for turning we go back early and we hit the 4 way stop. I knew I already failed and I never did a 4 way stop before so of course I don't take my right away and he starts yelling at me why didn't I take the right away and may have called me a name but I don't remember for certain. I then park the car very poorly because I was already sad and angry and then he says "You have a lot to learn and need a lot more practice," in a very condescending voice destroying the rest of my confidence. At this point I would have called him a prick but I wasn't sure if he could stop me from taking the test in the future so I didn't. To this day I still get very angry thinking about this experience because of this rude,insensitive and huge douche examiner. From reading up on other experiences I am pretty sure the examiner is PAUL who will fail you any chance he can get. IF YOU GET PAUL YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A BAD TIME. read more

i hate this place. i came to get my g1 and i failed 9 times. the driving exam is too difficult and i wet my pants every time i attempted the test due to anxiety. in the end i couldn't pass the g1 test so i ended up buying a fake drivers id and i had to pay $700 altogether. read more

Just gave my G test today here.the examiner was a nice person.his instructions were quite clear and before hand.in order to pass the test,one should be familiar with the route and have practiced there for like 3 to 4 times.the thing i hated there was the parallel parking between the two polls.like what the hell,are we driving in a circus or something.the rest of the test was fine and i passed in the first attempt :) read more

I did my G1 exit road test at Victoria park but I've heard bad things about doing the G2 exit road test there, so I decided to try Port Union instead. Worst mistake. My examiner was examiner 380, a thin blonde woman with big sunglasses. When she first got into the car she asked me how much highway experience I had and I told her I'd be on the highway several times with an instructor and a couple times with another licensed driver. The young drivers instructor thought my highway driving was very safe. The woman first said that she would not let me take the test because she did not think I had enough experience, then when I clarified that I had merged several times per lesson she reluctantly agreed to let me try the test. She read through the drive test rules with annoyance and then we started the test. We drove around, when it was time to enter the highway ramp, there was a yield sign, I was the first car on the ramp so I entered the ramp and checked my left mirror. She got very mad and in a very sarcastic voice said something along the lines of "what's wrong with you, you didn't check your blind spot, you failed to yield, you shouldn't be driving." I know I checked my mirrors, glanced at the blind spot and had enough room to enter the ramp, I think if I had done something dangerous such as cut someone off I would've at least had someone honk at me which was not the case. I have a lot of driving experience and my driving at that (confusing) ramp was safe. She seemed determined to find something wrong with my driving because she made her annoyance at having to take me in on the test at all very clear. When we got back to the drive center she asked me to forward park into this odd spot on the top of a hill, I went in at an angle and was correcting, then said, we both know you're going to fail me, so why should I bother with this simple park. She then said something along the lines of "you're right, you are doing a horrible job at this very simple park" glared at me again and got out of the car. I then sarcastically thanked her for her wonderfully professional attitude and proceeded to launch a complaint about her. I understand that maybe she was having a bad day, maybe I look like someone she knows but doesn't like, either way it is not fair for her to take that out on me while I attempt my drive test. She might have been having a bad day, but I just found out that a family member I care deeply about has a terminal cancer, so you know what, as far as bad days go, mine is much worse. When I go to a drive test center, I expect the examiner to treat me with respect not glare at me between sarcastic comments because she doesn't feel like taking me on a road test. Truly, the most unprofessional person I have ever met, and I hope she loses her job because her behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional. (I know she'll actually keep her job, but maybe they could at least have her take a course on how to be a proper driving examiner). read more

Heard a lot of negative reviews about this place, when I told my parents I booked my test here they said cancel it and book somewhere else.. I was going to cancel my test because I thought it was going to snow that day but it didn't, so I went on the regular scheduled date. Upon arrival my instructor made me back in the car, I did, went inside, checked in ( wasn't in there longer than 5 minutes ) and then waited for about 20 minutes for the examiner. I got the Asian guy, he wasn't intimidating, he checked my lights and the horn then sat in the car. Made me sign a paper and explained the instructions. Then we started I drove out to Meadowvale, did an emergency stop, parallel park, uphill and downhill park, 3 point turn and came back. I front parked in back at the drive test center, he told me I passed and was out the car, I went back inside and they gave me a sheet and told me to wait until I'm called. When they called me I got my temporary license and was off. The whole thing took about an hour give or take 10 minutes and everything was smooth and to the point. The examiner had an accent but you can understand his instructions, he wasn't friendly but wasn't disrespectful, basically didn't say a single word to me that wasn't instruction. I didn't see anything wrong with the place necessarily, I think If you go there and drive well enough you'll pass, I'll probably do my g2 exit next year there if I still live in this area. Sidenote - my test was at 4:15 and I finished around 4:30. I was probably the last 3 tests of the day I don't know if that influenced how my experience here was. The roads were pretty clear and there wasn't any traffic and it was a pa day for schools. It was my first attempt. read more

I passed my driving test from here today and it was a great experience, I hear Aurora was easy too and told my Instructor that I heard that's a easy road test center, his response to me was " If you are a good driver you can drive anywhere" baaam it hit me like a bombshell! lol and I must say that phrase did boost up my confidence level and I drove like a pro! I went with Canadian Academy of Defensive driving and they do tell you about the myths and some scam business people do in order to make you think that some Drive test centers are not good for you so you pay more to go to far places. read more
