Not overall ecstatic experience first they baited me to a plan for monthly payments out of my checking account that I was not aware this was a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION that was totally explained incorrectly !!! The car was vacuumed well and windows cleaned outside car wash how could that be missed but the wipe down inside left a lot to be desired and I went and bought Armorall wipes to redo myself. WOW is about all I can say. I came in about a month ago and was less than pleased with my "detailing". The employees working on my vehicle literally did NOTHING they were paid and tipped to do (read my previous review). The wash wasnt bad, tho the rims weren't as shiny as I would've hoped. You could see where the brushes failed to get into the cracks & crevices. Now to today.. I stopped by after work thinking it would be a good time to vacuum out my car, seeing as we haven't had snow in over a week. I pulled into the D&S "self serve" bays just across the street next door. I walked up to the coin exchange, one of the flaps was half taped shut, the other had only some duct tape hanging out. Took a few tries, but we managed to get the three tokens we paid for. I walked back to my vehicle and started removing the floor mats. I wanted to try to use the time the best I could, as 1 token=3 minutes on the vacuum. When I finally put the quarter in, the machine spit it out at me. Again. And again. And again.. so okay, sh*t happens, I'll move onto the neighboring vac bay. I pulled around, removed my mats again, and put the token in. The vacuum fired up, but I quickly realized there was 0 suction. Frustrated, I packed up to go to the next open vac. As I was driving around, another young couple I saw asked if the one I was on worked, to which I said no. They told me the one I was about to try didn't work. So I went across the way to the opposite side of the lot hoping for better luck. Can u guess what happened next? The machine gladly took my token, but again offered no suction when turned on. Of the 5 vacuum bays available, 1 did not work, two provided no suction, the hose on 1 was completely broken off, and the remaining bay was occupied the whole time I was there. I'm assuming this is the only vac that actually halfway worked. (This is the one nearest the token machines on the building, you're welcome). What a waste of my time and money. I also couldn't help but notice of the 6 self-serve wash bays, two were blocked off with plastic barrel trash cans. And to top it off, every single trash can was overflowed and trash was blowing all over. Absolutely unacceptable. I have provided photos and am seriously considering contacting corporate. If a customer pays for a service, they should receive what they pay for. If the machines and equipment are broken or malfunctioning, put a damn sign up or leave them off altogether. All I paid for tonight was aggravation and frustration. Save your money and do it yourself at home!! read more

We are newly retired and traveling the country sightseeing. We needed a wash and happened upon drive and shine. Didn't need the unlimited and asked for one of the one time washes. Wanting an additional $20 to use the vacuum is outright highway robbery especially since in large letters on the building it states "Free Vacuum". Needless to say, we left without a wash. read more

I will start with the good...the massage chairs and coffee are delightful. They also have really good customer service, which I know because: Dirt was still on the hood of my car after the car wash. They charge extra to vacuum and to clean the windows. They also charged an additional fee to vacuum each mat (this should be part of the vacuum). None of these additional fees include actually wiping down the interior. When I got the car back, the car was still dirty. The floor mats that I paid extra to have cleaned still had the dried snow marks. The windows were not cleaned at all, still, having smudge marks. I did not notice until I left. When I called the manager had amazing customer service and asked me to come back in so they could fix everything. In addition to that, he told me that the next two days will be raining so I should wait the 2 days so I can get it cleaned after the rain. I do prefer our local small business - car wash and will continue to go there in the future. You get more for your money. The car is completely washed, vacuumed and wiped down inside and out. The local business also cost less money and you're supporting the local business. read more

My husband has a membership with drive & shine. so he took my car thru the car wash to get the salt off my car. when he got home he was cleaning off the extra water left on the car, he noticed scratches that wasn't there before. I called the store and the kid that answered said to bring the car back and speak to the manager so of course we did. when we got there. they say the manager wasn't there. okay that doesn't make since we just called and i only live 5 minutes away. He said the manager will review the cameras and give us a call in 2 days. 7 days later we call them and they said they just called this morning. yah nope they never called my phone. the manager said that they will not be doing anything to fix the scratches because our car is to dark and he can't see anything . SO WE CANCELED OUR MEMBERSHIP WE CONTACTED OUR INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY SAID THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MULTIPLE CARS. they are going to do an investigation. hopefully they have to fix all these scratched cars read more

PAY UP DRIVE AND SHINE. here's something amazing! my husband too my hummer h3 the drive and shine in elkhart on cassopolis street in elkhart this past saturday and had them do a full detail and wash. the vehicle came out with a broken driver's side mirror and scratches all along the driver's door. ryan (some employee) buffed out the scratches and zip tied and duct taped the mirror back on as it is electronic. ryan said that we should get an estimate and turn it in and drive and shine will take care of it. my husband also noticed a huge book of damage reports and since we were not born just yesterday, we are aware that damages have happened in their car wash. according to ryan that day joe was not in and he would let joe know asap. well, as my husband was just in talking to joe they watched the video for the day and joe was actually helping my stepdaughter clean out her truck to go through the wash!!!so we were lied to about the "boss" not being there and the actual report indicated the vehicle actually was indeed damaged in the wash!!!! but conveniently ryan lied when asked infront of my husband if he said that drive and shine would handle it if we got an estimate today! i got an estimate and took it over today then received a call from joe carbone the dm and he said the vehicle must have been damaged before it went through the car wash. it absolutely was not damaged prior to leaving the vehicle in drive and shines employees hands! any of you who know i just purchased this hummer know it is in perfect condition! joe carbone or what ever his name is is a scammer and i highly advise all to stay away from the drive and shine in elkhart!!!!! these people are liars and scammers and i'd like to hear from others who have had problems with these liars! my vehicle was not damaged until rachel(drive and shine employee) drove my car through the wash that they speeded up due to the volume of customers at that time. read more

I went to the Elkhart Drive and Shine yesterday even knowing they are more expensive than Rocket. I was in the area and wanted a good inside and out cleaning and was willing to pay for it. I purchased the Gold wash and the middle line interior clean for $ 35 and an additional $6 to clean 2 mats. After they finished I pointed out the blotchy tires that were not that way when I entered and they had not touched the dust on the top of the dash. They said I should have purchased the $50 options to have these cleaned. I asked without an answer if it makes sense for me to just given them $40 and drive home in a dirty car? Very bad value. They continued to push their more expensive services. I wonder what they skip for their lower end inside cleaning. Rocket does not have the nice building nor does it have the nice uniforms and waiting area. Rocket does have a way to thoroughly clean my car inside and out for about $15. If I had gone to Rocket yesterday I would be driving a clean car and have $25 more in my pocket. read more

It used to be a really great place to have your car washed. Wow, have times changed. Micro scratches in the paint from the "soft touch" cleaning mechanism that spins too fast. They no longer power wash the front which means bug guts remain. The rear of suv's never come out clean because they don't clean that either. Had an oil change there and they "technician" forgot to put the cap back on resulting in the engine compartment being sprayed with oil. They refused to clean up the mess and blamed me....Yeah, I took the cap off and wanted a greasy engine compartment.... NorthernPride in Goshen is worth the drive. read more

Attendant was not helpful, did not know about services offered, could not answer even the simplest questions (is this a touch-less car wash?). Had an excellent visit at drive and shine. I've always gone there to get my car washed, but my last visit I took my car in to get detailed. Jake walked me through the services I was getting and explained other options that they offered. He pointed out so much about what could be done to my car I ended up getting an upgrade to what I originally wanted to get. In the end I was very satisfied with how my car looked. Outside shined like it was brand new and the inside just as clean when I bought it. I definitely recommend those who want to get their car cleaned as mine was in some much needed care. For the price Drive and Shine does a lousy job. I called and complained last time. Bought a booklet of six washes for 175. That averages 29 min for wash and vacuum. I end up cleaning the back of my Rogue each time. They don't vacuum the back at all and it didn't look like they did the inside. I will never buy another book and never go there again. When this booklet is done don't will not buy again. My husband bought it and he won't buy again. Rocket or taking it through Martins car wash does better and the price at Martins is 6.00. I end up cleaning the inside myself anyway. read more

Absolutely horrible.I never am one to leave reviews positive or negitive,but i have to make an exception this time.Without a doubt the "Detail" i got from this drive and shine was the worst "car cleaning" i have ever seen in my life i have done a better job in my own driveway.I had large patches of dried wax left in various spots on the door and trunk and rear bumper.The interior was hit and miss cleaning and the armor all was badly streaky.The rims were totally ignored.When i got home and saw all this i was to angry to go back so i spent the next hour at home cleaning my car AFTER it had been detailed!!! I paid $200 dollars for that!I will never go there again and ill make damn sure no one i know goes there either! read more
