Late in the evening, I asked for water and was told, "we don't have any, just sparkling water." Moments later, I asked for a Diet Coke and got, "we don't have any, just Coke." No courtesy, no apology. Throughout the night, pours were noticeably small--around 4 oz. instead of a standard 6 oz.--and overall service felt dismissive. When I later mentioned this to the bride (a close friend), she informed me the bartender was actually the owner. She had stocked plenty of water, Diet Coke, etc, none of which were used. When she raised the issue with him, he was reportedly rude and blamed her for not tipping well. Unprofessional, discourteous, and poorly managed. Royal Bartending should not be in the hospitality business.
