This is a lovely hotel placed within the centre of Memmingen old town. The reception is a small…read moredesk, but with the most polite staff. We booked over the internet, and had no problem checking in. Our room was on the 4th floor, which is served by stairs and a lift. The room itself was very spacious, with a queensized bed in the middle, large wardrobe, tea making facilities with chocolates, tv and sofa. The ensuite was very clean, with both a seperate bath and shower unit. We stayed there a couple of nights and this is probably the quietest hotel I've stayed in. its proximity to town is great, but it is just far enough back to be very quiet. The walls are thick and not a noise was heard all night. Breakfast was served with many options and the staff were very attentive. When we checked out, we were able to leave our bags in a holding area which was very convenient.

If you are in the area for business or pleasure I would recommend Parkhotel Maximilian. Located in…read morea great setting, with both trails, a park, and walkable to town. The hotel itself was good, though the rooms are a bit dated (circa early 1990s). However, looking past that, the staff was great and the food also outstanding. The patio area was also nice. If you have a reason to be in Ottobeuren, this is a great option for lodging and/or dinning.
