Lorenz was the photographer at a conference where I spoke as a panelist recently. As a speaker, I forgot he was even down in front of me taking photos - he is not intrusive, so I didn't lose my train of thought while speaking - and he captured some great shots. The lighting and composition were truly beautiful. Then, by coincidence the following week, Lorenz was the photographer hired by my employer to take head shots of our team. Lorenz took practice shots to find just the right spot, and he took photos of each of us in a few different spots - so there were several different "looks" for each person - all in the span of about only 10-15 minutes. He captured beautiful morning light and some of our employees look like they're in a J. Crew or other professional ad campaign - really! He is very easy-going during the process and makes you smile, laugh, change stance, etc. so you get a really diverse set of shots (relaxed, posed, big laugh, smile, grin, serious) without feeling super-awkward. I really don't like getting my photo taken, and I don't ever like a lot of the shots I am in, but Lorenz captured some really nice shots and I am very happy with my head shots - everyone in our office is very happy with his work!

Before the shoot, he gave me tips on what to wear and help me decide on the vibe I would like to shoot for. I generally don't like taking photos of myself. He made my awkward self feel comfortable during the photo shoot and did a great job capturing me. He has a great eye for composition and lighting and made sure we have tried different angles, expressions, and all the background options before wrapping it up. Meera Fox photographed my wedding this year and I was so lucky to have chosen her to do the job…read more My ceremony happened at sunrise and Meera was there to get every magical second of it. Then she stayed with me all day and all night until the last guest left the reception. If you are going to have a photographer by your side on the most important day of your life every minute of that day, it needs to be someone whose presence adds to the occasion and empowers you, without changing the vibe of the event. Meera was perfect in this way. It felt like she had my back no matter what we were doing. She was simply there, doing her job the whole time, but she was making everything feel special and making me feel beautiful and calm. The photos she took at my reception were epic! I had the quirky idea to do an old fashioned formal portraiture look where everyone was serious in the photos, just like they used to do in the olden days when people had to hold still for a long time to have their portraits taken, so no one smiled. Trying not to smile of course made everyone feel very silly, so Meera got serious and then funny ones of each group. I loved them all. Then Meera also roamed around the party all evening taking her famous candid shots of all the guests partying and having fun. These are moments I will always treasure and she documented everything so thoroughly. I can't wait now to have a baby because I want Meera Fox Photography to take baby portraits for me! Meera Fox has done a modeling shoot with my husband and he looks so amazing in the photos. I love her retro aesthetic and her technical rigor. Meera Fox has also done modeling shoots for both my girls together and separately, and is helping promote them to the local modeling agencies. Because she is always involved with fashion related events, Meera Fox has involved my children in modeling opportunities they would not have had access to otherwise. My eldest has walked in a few runway shows and has amassed an impressive portfolio working with Meera Fox. My girlfriends are all jealous of the incredible photos I have of my girls as a result of the modeling shoots Meera has done with them. Modeling shoots with Meera have greatly increased my daughters' self confidence and sense of personal power. Meera is also a great role model for young women and she takes her work very seriously. We genuinely liked having Stephen present on our special day; he was attentive, friendly, and somehow relaxed and present while capturing the seemingly endless flow of beautiful moments. We LOVE Stephen's emphasis on candid shots; he caught countless incredible moments on film where you can easily see the immensity, joy, and love of the day. They are very easy to work with, even given crazy constraints, space limitations, timing issues, etc. They handle the details with style. They took some of the best photos I've seen. The output was superb. They provided action shots and portraits, just as I wanted. I didn't expect a whole lot from the action shots, but they are among my favorites! Really, these two are amazing. The worst thing I can say about Barbara and Wayne is that they've spoiled me for other photographers. They are now the standard against which I rate other photographers.
