Minimalistic menu - you have to have what they have got! This is not the place to come for your favourite schnitzel and French fries. The food is slow, the waiters (and owner) witty - some might not like / understand it. I do. Very good selection of wine, including reasonable Polish vines (yes! We do have a proper white). The fusion, the wit, and the joy might no appeal to everybody, but the quality is superb. I love the place.

I also recommend żurek (sour soup), gołąbki (stuffed cabbage) and there desert torcik bezowy (meringue cake). Honestly notated what you order will be delicious, fresh and organic. The chefs do an outstanding job cooking. The servers are super duper friendly and helpful. Honestly if you are in the area, go to Bulaj. It also helps that they all speak English

My favorite place in Gdansk. The food and drinks are excellent, the interior is fantastic and the…read morestaff are awesome. First the food: The coffee is great, they know how to brew it. Cookies and other sweet things are also delicious here. The beer is also great and suits a place like this. Try the polish brands! And finally the food is great as well. I think they only serve Polish dishes. The only problem is that the menu is entirely in Polish. But the friendly staff did a good translation with a smile so the problem was not that big. The interior is really fantastic and unique. They have collected tons of old stuff from a time period that is no more. The things have a beautiful touch of patina from an interesting history. There seems to be new people working here every now and then. I went here every day on my last visit to Gdansk. Everyone from the staff were really nice and service minded. Each time was a pleasure to go here, because of the staff, the cool atmosphere and the food. I can highly recommend this very special place, but don't tell everyone, it's best kept as a secret! :)

I have to say - hands down my favourite cafe that I've EVER been to…read more This place just hits the mark on so many things - the staff, the selection of coffee, and the decor/ ambience. The ambience did it for me. I felt like I was Alice in Wonderland when I stepped into the place, I just wanted to walk to every corner or the place and inspect all the furniture, wall art, books, antiques and trinkets. Whoever built this place is an artist and must be a very interesting person! I can lounge here forever. The whole layout/ setup of the venue is quite cool, there's a small corner room that feels like a living room (but very artsy) and I'm just in love with it!!! I went on an afternoon for coffee, but I can only imagine what it might be at night.... with a live jazz band (possibly?) it would be heaven!! Go, now. And again!

Best pierogis I've had in Poland so far. Based on the…read moresuggestion of the man who waited on me, I chose the spinach and feta pierogis (normally I'm a meat lover too). Wow! So glad I did! They were perfectly cooked and bursting with yummy, garlicky flavor. They were also quite filling which I don't always find with potato or meat pierogis. Also had the carrot, apple, ginger juice which was also quite tasty. The pierogis may have pine nuts so check in case you're allergic (I'm not but something I noted). Pricing: most restaurants in the main streets of Gdansk want 22-40ztl for pierogis and here they were only 16. Very good deal and you still have the luxury of dining on their large patio. Service was good. People working there were kind.

A little on the more expensive side (even in Gdańsk, which ich generally rather pricey), but the menu looks impressive and is impressive. Dishes are very original and tasty.
