I met with Carlie Hamilton, FNP at Draper Family Medical yesterday for the 2nd time. I am so impressed with her! Both times I have seen her, she has surprised me with her in-depth knowledge of symptoms and medications. She is very personable and easy to talk to. I feel like she actually listens to me and takes my thoughts and situations into consideration in the decision-making process. The office is really bright and nice, too. The staff were very friendly. I didn't have to wait too long. I also like that it is really easy to get to from I-15 or 7th E. I hate it when doctor appointments eat up your whole day. It's great to have one that's easy to get to and has plenty of parking. I'm a big fan and highly recommend! read more

I have been to this practice a few times and really like the doctors. I just called to make an appointment and was told the doctor I usually see works Monday - Wednesday, 8am - 3pm. I work during those hours and it is difficult for me to take time off work. I told the receptionist I would have to find a new doctor and she said "Ok, bye". I am never going back! Very unprofessional, dont return phone calls, waited weeks for results! They hardly ever answer the phone! And they never return messages! If you do get somebody on the phone they act like they dont know what you are talking about or who you might have talked to that gave you that information....Brynn was the rudest person I have ever dealt with in the medical profession! Dont waste your time here in this small little office! Doctors are never in or available and they say call back monday or friday.... It is just ridiculous that there is not somebody there to handle things if a doctor or NP is out of the office! *I will add that Sammy (receptionist) was very nice & so was Carly Hamilton (NP) but the unprofessionalism of the office & the rudeness of Brynn (probably an MA) just turned this new patient away!!! read more

I've been going to DFP for almost two years now. Sometimes I want to make an appointment just so I can hang out with the awesome doctors, nurses, and the receptionist. Everyone is extremely kind, patient, and willing to joke around. Everyone is very knowledgeable and basically just plain awesome. Dr. Oremland in particular is probably the best doctor I have ever met, and I've met a ton. He'll also teach you a bunch of random facts while you're being examined. Appointments are not hard to get - most of the time I can get an appointment the same day I call in, and if not then it's always within a week that I am seen. Usually the doctors are in the exam room quickly, and they're willing to really listen and talk about different medical options, unlike some doctor's offices that make you feel like you're on a conveyor belt of healing. I may never leave Draper just because I've finally found the best family practice in the world. read more

It is true sometimes you get a message machine and it takes a bit to get a call back, but honestly I can easily overlook that fact because they are so darn nice and friendly. Rarely do I wait, and you can even see Carly for your yearly girlie exam. Everything in one mellow, quiet, laid back office, yes please! As a side note if you need a dr that is going to call you to remind you to pick up a prescription, or that you made an appointment this might not be the office for you. It is small and run by a limited staff which keeps prices low which is great for me personally, but might not be for everyone. read more

I have been going to this office for years and I absolutely love them. Brynn is always nice, welcoming, and personable. I feel like I am cared about and not just another of many patients as bigger offices can make you feel. Carlie is very knowledgeable and listens and works with me to find solutions that work for myself and also my daughter (I have started bringing my daughter here as well). I definitely recommend this office if you want a more family friendly doctors office. read more

Do NOT use this office. The doctor left the practice, and I needed medications refilled. After quite a wait, a disheveled woman in sunglasses, flowered yoga pants and some kind of shawl came in. She looked like a street person from the 70s. She never introduced herself, so I had to assume it was the nurse practitioner. She never mentioned the reason for the sunglasses. She also NEVER looked at me. She hummed to herself while looking at the computer, then told me that after this month, I WOULD not be given one of my medications, because SHE WAS NOT DOING THAT. No alternatives were suggested, no mention of my condition. I took my prescriptions and RAN. Clearly this office is falling apart. read more

Hi. I have been going to Draper Family Medical since 2003-2005 when it was owned by another doctor. I loved it. Then this office went through two more doctors. In 2009 ir 2010 it was owned by a new doctor, Dr Oremland. Carly Hamilton was there as a PA. She is awsome. Dr Oremland left and ive been seeing Carly Hamilton. She is the most knowledgable and professional Doctor ever. She is kind and really cares about the patient. Sadly, Carly Hamilton's staff is the most inept and unprofessional staff I've ever seen. The "nurse" Brynn, (not sure what her professional title is) has written my prescription and left off the date on the prescription .... Therefore I could not get my prescription filled. I had to go back when I could get someone who would be there to get another prescription filled out correctly. I took that one and she had left off my last name AND my birthdate. It's very frustrating. So when I pick up my Rx, I have to make sure it's correct. I've also been treated awful by the new office bill collector that works in the back, but unfortunately she sits in the receptionist area at times. Her name is Nancy. She is the epitome of the worst personality to deal with people who are sick, depressed, ill in any way that walks in a doctors office expecting to be treated kindly and with respect. She is a caricature the nightmare office helper. I had an appt yesterday for a consultation only to discuss a new Rx I have been on. As I came in the bill collector, NANCY, who has NO interpersonal skills was at the receptionist area. I was on time, she asked my name which I gave her. She looked up my file and said, "so your insurance is still Blue Cross Blue Shield?". I said, "No, I don't have that insurance.". She would not look at me or smile or say a word. Then she said that she was looking at another "sherry". I said there is someone else with my same name? She wouldn't answer me. She finally found "my" file. She said I owed $18.00. I said Ok. She said you will need to pay that before you can see Carly. I had only my keys, and my driver's license with me. I said I didn't bring any money but could pay it later..... She said she had to have it right then or I couldn't see Carly. I live 50 miles away and couldn't go home get $ and come back before they closed. This appt was very important as Carly has put me on new medicine and I have been having some side effects that needed to be addressed. I told her I'd pay it later. She said she would re schedule me. I told her I needed to see her now. I understand her wanting to receive payment. I always pay when I come in. I didn't know I had 18.00 due. It's no problem but I didn't have my money or card with me. She was relentless and I left very upset. saying in my car and cried. I called to speak with Carly.... she wouldn't let me speak to Carly. It's not that she wouldn't let me speak with Carly, but her rude voice and 100% unprofessional attitude. Brynn called and I told her I am getting a new doctor. Carly Hamilton is wonderful and it breaks my heart that her office staff is grossly inept and not helping her business. Her staff are rough and do nit belong in a professional office dealing with sick people that need medical help not bullish behavior . read more

I don't know what the fuss below is about, but I had a great experience here. I'm from Vegas and I needed a Medical Evaluation form completed to give to the DMV. I called on the phone and the staff was really quick to help me with it. I drove in without an appointment and they got everything faxed over and completed within a matter of minutes. Something that may have taken a matter of days was taken care of in a matter of minutes. They were very efficient and quite friendly. (even to me, and I tend to have a stern demeanor). They deserve commendation for such professional friendly service. :) read more

I started going to this practice over a year and a half ago because I prefer smaller clinics with all female doctors. After a couple of nice visits I called to see if I could get a two patch renewal on a scopolamine prescription for a last minute trip that had come up. I acknowledged when I called that I knew it had been over a year since my previous physical, but since my IUD was set to be replaced in two weeks from the time I called for the two patches, I wanted to wait to get everything done all in the same visit--which I had discussed with the NP I saw for my initial physical. Long story short, I asked for two patches to be called to my pharmacy and set up an appointment for the IUD replacement for 10 days from then. Later that day I received a call from the office MA Brynn who informed me that since "she knows how the practitioners do things" she took it upon herself to make the decision NOT to allow me to get the two patches. According to her, they NEVER approve refills when more than a year has passed since a visit so she did not need to check with the actual practitioner. I asked her if she could please check because I was in dire need and already had set up an upcoming appointment. She said she "would ask but could basically guarantee" they would not approve the refill. I was so taken aback by her dismissive and self-important attitude that I told her I couldn't believe she is allowed to speak to patients. She told me that she was in fact not dismissing me, she just "knows how it works." I have never in my life dealt with someone this rude at a medical practice. I told her that based on her attitude and lack of professionalism that I would be taking my medical needs elsewhere. Twenty minutes later she called and told me that the NP had approved my two patch request and would see me in 10 days for my appointment. By then it was way too late. I don't want to go anywhere someone like Brynn works and is given control over my medical needs; it does not make the NPs look good at all. It seems as if they don't pay much attention to their Yelp reviews, but they should definitely start. read more

I went to another doctor prior to DFM with a rash on my neck. He proceeded to tell me from 4 feet away that I had shingles, said he was "pretty sure" feeling uneasy about the diagnosis I called DFM and made a appt. The doc put in gloves got close and decided to test it. Thanks to them I was diagnosed correctly and given the proper medication. They took the time to figure it out rather than "quess" what was wrong. The entire staff, doctors and nurses were amazing. I would recommend this office to anyone that wants people who actually care. read more

My husband had a strep test done in 2014. It is now 2016 and we just got a call from a collection agency. They sent us to collections because the bill got returned. We have moved since then. If they would have billed him when it first occurred we wouldn't of had this problem. I called them and they were not helpful at all. Very poor service and very slow billing. We should not get s bill a year and a half after he was treated. We were never notified of bill otherwise we would have paid. Also my husband worked in h office next year for a year after and they knew he worked there and never contacted him. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO OAY FOR YOUR MEDICAL BILLS YEARS AFTER THEY HAPPEN. read more

Never been more rudely treated by an office staff. WIll not go back. Will not recommend. Doctors will not talk to you on the phone - ever!! Even if you have seen them very recently. So don't bother calling. Always though Carlie was great, but won't try to get through the office staff again. read more

This place is very friendly and nice but when (the new Dr.) is left alone watch out very unprofessional Everything I told her, she went back and called another doctor about it to see if someone else can diagnose my symptoms. Not to mention she must of had the door open because I could hear every word she was saying and I'm sure everyone else in the building could to. Be more professional and shut the door and go somewhere so no one can heartily. Oh but wait there's more, so I tell her my symptoms she hooks me up to and "ekg" not one time did I mention anything about my heart. I demanded her to do blood work 3 days later she calls me at work saying I need to go to the ER. Because I have a blood clot omg I'm freaking out the ER hooks me up, does a ct and come to find out I only have MONO 6000 dollars later oh did my doctor forget to mention this BEFORE I went to the ER yep she did PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOME PLACE WHERE THE DOCTORS KNOW THEIR SHIT!!!! read more
