She is able to key in on what I need to be doing and coach my voice to produce a clear, supported sound. My brother takes with Mr. Dan for guitar and has made progress so quickly. He seems to be a very knowledgeable man with professional experience, and has also been teaching my brother how to formally read music (since he was just playing by ear before). When you need music lessons, I definitely suggest Rockin' Robin! They teach a variety of instruments (not joice voice and guitar) and all of the staff are so nice and friendly, even if you're not their student!

My daughter has learned more in a month here than she did in a year at a previous music school. The atmosphere is very quiet. I would definitely recommend this school especially for young beginners.

Because of her classroom experience (working with Juilliard's curriculum), she was able to create a custom curriculum to suit every student's goals. She listens to her students, addresses their concerns, and has a way of explaining concepts in a way that's easy to understand, for kids AND adults! She's clearly an expert in EDUCATING! I used to go to her home studio in Montrose for lessons, but due to Covid-19, we switched to online lessons. The transition was easy and smooth, and I must say that the quality of both our piano and voice lessons have remained the same! Wow! I really enjoy learning from my home and not needing to commute for our weekly lessons! I've had several piano and voice teachers in the past, but have never truly understood the ins and outs of music. With Clara, not only have my performance skills improved, but I am now also able to enjoy music so much more due to a deeper understanding of what I am performing or practicing. Clara is truly the most inspiring music teacher I've had, and I'm looking forward to many more lessons together in the future!

Despite the new syllabus, Clara's thorough understanding of the IB program as an examiner allowed her to decipher the criteria and course guide, then explain this information in a clear and logical way. Clara's feedback was always specific and detailed, yet she was willing to incorporate my ideas rather than directly instruct me to write/compose/play a certain way. Clara's breadth and depth of musical knowledge expanded my exposure to different areas of music. She gave helpful answers to all of my questions throughout different stages of the working process, whether they were related to the IB or more generally about music. Clara's patience and humor also provided some much-needed reassurance in face of the challenging IB program. To any students seeking external help for music schoolwork, I highly recommend taking lessons with Clara! I cannot thank her enough for salvaging my experience with the academic study of music.

Lol Tom and his wife Colleen are simply the best. He will help you with your musical goals and his techniques will help strengthen your voice and increase your vocal stamina. He is so encouraging and honest. He doesn't promise everyone stardom-if it happens it happens- but he will make sure you reach the full potential of your vocal ability. If you follow and practice the breathing, control, and vocal tips that he teaches, I promise with time your voice will get stronger and you will be able to sing on another level. I'm been singing since I was 2 years old, and had a group with my sisters. Through the years I developed incorrect techniques that always left my voice strained and tired after performances, after working with Tom I am developing ways to cure those bad habits that are not conducive to proper singing. He guides you with the right way to sing a song and your voice will thank you for it. He's sessions are $175 for 50 minutes and you book through Colleen. He records the session and sends them to you so you can study and practice and see your progress. The studio is located in the spring branch area. So many of his students have successful careers in music. I hope I'm next :)

Tom immediately knew where she struggled and how to fix it, where she wanted to be with her voice and how she can get there. Today she performed three songs at his show case and she did great (and so did his other students). We are so happy that we made the switch, even though it was hard to leave the previous teacher (one gets connected after so many years). Tom's knowledge of voice and vocal technique is amazing and if you are serious about being a singer. He is the right person to go to!

School of Rock Pearland deserves every bit of recognition it gets, especially for its Adult…read moreProgram. When I walked through the doors in 2022, I could barely form clean first-fret chords and didn't even know what a power chord was. Three years later, I was performing songs like "Sad But True" by Metallica and "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains--and doing it confidently. The reason is simple: the instructors are exceptional. Cameron and George are phenomenal guitar teachers--true technicians who understand how to build musicians from the ground up. They're patient, focused, and know exactly how to push you toward real progress. Jessica and Aaron, despite being young, are seasoned professionals when it comes to directing. Their musicianship is extraordinary, and they lead by example. You don't just learn from them--you rise to the standard they set. I give special credit to Trevor, the owner. He's a talented multi-instrumentalist who has built a culture that's serious about musicianship while keeping the environment fun and inspiring. His Pearland and Memorial locations both feel like real studios: pro gear, great lighting, clean design, and an atmosphere that tells you, "You belong here." I entered as a total beginner. I left as a House Band member. If you're an adult wanting to learn guitar, drums, bass, keys, or vocals--and you want a program that challenges you the way a skilled trainer pushes you in the gym--this is the place. There's plenty of sitting for us parents so controlling we can't seem to drop them off. 3. The cameras in every lesson room, and TV screen I can watch her every move. Stalker mom. 4. All the Instagramable murals. 5. The kids hang out club room. Foosball included! 6. Group lessons, besides her private lessons. She's part of a band! 7. The email progress notes from the instructor after lessons. I like knowing what she did. I must add being the new kid is hard, especially in group settings, I really appreciate how much the owner Trevor took with my daughter on her first day making her comfortable. She jumped right in singing on her first day. Will is a great instructor, well they all are she's already had the pleasure of getting direction from a few if not all.
