I went to see him to find a new doctor to take over my medication management. I've been stable on the same meds for 8 years and the doctor I have now Helen from CHR must have gotten in trouble with the DEA because she frantically and without my consent cut my clonazepam dose by 50% a couple weeks ago and ever since ive been having horrible rebound effects, extreme anxiety and panic attacks, not sleeping and when I do waking up from nightmares or restless legs, irritation, headaches, tremor, and feeling disconnected. When I told him this he said, "None of that is from the clonazepam withdrawal." I only started having these symptoms since the change other than that I was stable, with 3 young kids, a husband of 12 years, a full time job, and my own online business Now again I was good for 8 years on the same dose and he said, "I think your addicted!" I responded, " of course I am." I'm also addicted to all the other medication its common sense your body natural becomes addicted. After that point he treated like an addict, which was so disrespectful and humiliating! I went in there trying to get my life back to normal that's all Nothing more nothing less. And his brilliant plan was to increase my bipolar medication and gabapentin, and no clonazepam at all!!! I was in there talking about how I thought it was unsafe and reckless for my other doctor just to cut my dose by 50% overnight after being on them for almost a decade. So he would've just brought it down to zero which every article from reputable sources for medicine say that that is a very dangerous thing to do and should be done by 5% to 10% every couple weeks and that's even if I wanted to, I don't want to right I'm not ready. I was fine. He would've put my life at risk for death. Either his ignorance or stupidity or just straight up gaslighting thought that that would be a good idea. Do not see this doctor. He does not know what he's doing. He does not do things safely and he does not take into account anything you say to him he completely will sum you up in a second and judge you. And treat you like something you're not maybe he's used to dealing with addicts, but I'm not one and it was very disrespectful to be treated like one! Please do waste your time on this doctor. He will not help you. He will only make things worse.! read more
