We should not have ventured off a good path and tried Advanced Emerald Dentistry. This place is just straight BAD and what I can only call fraudsters! They are all about getting money anyway possible. First the coupon that brought us there wouldn't honor because we had insurance. The cleaning was just Muh, but the real kicker is when they came in and said, "you have 6 cavities, then it was 9"! I was shocked as I had cleaned 9 months prior and I am religious at cleaning my teeth. I had them finish up the cleaning and made an appointment with Graham (my old dentist). They checked my teeth out and did more x-rays that I also had to pay Advanced Emerald Dentistry to do. Do you have a guess of how many cavities they found? That's right 0! Advanced tried to scam the insurance out of $1,328.00 and me out of $432.00. This at the very least is insurance fraud and malpractice! It's amazing that they haven't been shut down yet. Just so disgusting that they are trying to rip people off and put them through the pain of surgery and not to mention destroying good teeth. All to line their wallets is disgusting! I will be sending something to my insurance and filing a complaint with the state dentistry commission. I am sure if they tried this with me, I am not the only victim. BUT please take it from me.... run as fast as you can from this place. If you value your teeth and want great dentistry to look elsewhere. You would be better off chewing on rocks then go to Advanced Emerald Dentistry of Graham!

I went here a while back for a full mouth X-ray/exam. Lawrence did my exam and fillings. Even…read morebefore things went downhill, I was terribly uncomfortable with the comments he made to his assistant while I was in the chair. "Look at her toes, aren't they nice. She's so thin don't you think?" Within 24 hours, I had horrific throbbing pain on one side of my mouth. I called the office to come back in for an emergency checkup. Dr. Tomlinson (who was much kinder and professional than her father) performed an exam and said that there was one more cavity that he had missed and did a filling for me. I went home and again, horrific pain. I went back in and Dr. Lawrence L was angry as he was doing my exam. Screaming at me. So much so that his assistant had to say "he's not mad at you.. etc etc." twice. I was a young, timid girl and was afraid to speak up even though I was terribly uncomfortable, upset, and still in pain. He said that it was because I was grinding my teeth that's why I was in pain. This is the worst, throbbing toothache you could imagine. I called a different dental office. After they did some tests, I was told that one of the tooth he drilled on had nerve damage and needed a root canal. I called his office, trying to choke my tears back while talking to the receptionist. She could tell I was in agony and referred me to an endodontist in Tacoma since I did not want to deal with Lawrence Ladowski's abuse anymore. The receptionist also sent me flowers. It ended up costing me thousands of dollars at his office for the fillings that caused me to need a root canal and another $1800 for the root canal at a different office. The worst part was a whole week of agonizing pain and the frightening, embarrassed feeling I was subjected to while being yelled at by this dentist while in his chair for being in pain that he caused. I am confused as to how 2 professional dentists could miss the fact that the pain was due to nerve damage on that tooth. I went to 2 different other offices and they figured that out right away. It has been a while and I am still so sad for the me that was too afraid to speak up when he was yelling and being unprofessional to me. I was so nervous for the procedure. The dentist removed my teeth and did such an amazing job! I was fine the next day I couldn't believe it! The doctors there are amazing! Fast forward to today. My husband had a severe tooth ache and needed to be seen ASAP. Mind you, he wasn't an existing patient so I knew it was a long shot to get an emergency appointment that worked with his schedule. His previous dentist hours were just not flexible enough. I knew that Graham Family was open late and I loved my experience so I gave them a call. They got him in and worked with his schedule. Not only did they work with his schedule, he had an abscess and needed a root canal and they were SO KIND to alter the schedule and fit him in same day (even though I think the dentist was about to head home!!) We were absolutely grateful because we are flying out of town this weekend and he couldn't miss any more work for another appointment this week. The staff is so so sweet. All the front desk ladies there are amazing. I could sit and talk with them for hours!!! My husband gets a little anxious at the dentist and he also had a great experience. He was very comfortable here and he even commented on how nice all the assistants were to him and he LOVED Dr. Chen. I would recommend this office to everyone! It's a phenomenal place to establish care.
