Still others prescribe a course of action that actually ends up being detrimental to your physical and emotional well-being. Hasan Igde is all of these. I went to Dr. Igde with what I would later learn were the classic symptoms and conditions of a kidney stone, needless to say, a pretty common occurrence for urology patients. His prescribed course of action, if fully carried out, would have taken three weeks to get an eventual wrong answer. I very much had the impression that he puts patients into boxes: young thin female = bladder infection, despite everything I told him to the contrary. He certainly didn't ask any questions about my health or diet. Maybe the best part was when I said, "What if it's a kidney stone? My dad had them at my age", to which he replied, "Oh no, that's not possible, my ultrasound is very accurate." As it turns out it was very possible; the stone was stuck between my ureter between the kidney and the bladder, where he was not able to ultrasound (NB, also a pretty common occurrence). I finally went to the hospital where a CT was finally done and the stone had to be surgically removed; it had been stuck for so long that was potentially damaging my kidney. Dr. Igde speaks decent English, and with private insurance it's easy to get an appointment for the next day. Do not let these factors seduce you. If you care for your urinary tract you will stay away.
