Als ich das Dr. Markworth-Kotthaus gegenüber erwähnte und sagte, dass es befremdlich wäre, so mit Kunden ihrer Praxis umzugehen, antwortete die, dass wir ja schließlich keine Kunden wären sondern Patienten. Wir wären keine Kunden, da sie und ihr Mann ja für die Behandlung nicht so viel Geld nehmen können, wie sie wollen. I've only ever been treated here for GP-related things (everything from a blood test to a bad cold). Almost every time I've gone I've met with a different doctor, and they were all very friendly, helpful, and had a way of putting me at ease. There was even a time when I nearly fainted while getting my blood drawn, and (though quite embarrassing), two people rushed in to bring me water and chocolate, and then carried me to a room to lie down. Even though I felt fine after 15 minutes, they insisted I stay longer and kept checking in on me. I felt very taken care of can't imagine a lot of other places that would have done the same. If there were ever anything they couldn't directly diagnose, they gave me the names of several specialists and a quick referral slip. What's also nice is the option to book an appointment online. Especially if your German isn't great (note: I'm not sure if they have English-speaking doctors, but it would surprise me if they didn't), it's nice to be able to look up the right words and choose a time and date that suit you best. The practice is also located in a beautiful, classic Hamburg building and the space is very nice and clean, with high ceilings and a spacious waiting area.
