It is always very difficult to find new doctors. Specially when you know neither the town, nor…read morepeople. I wanted to make a preventive care (cancer tests) and to remove my IUD. I tried to make an appointment with a recommended gynecologist, but she was too busy so I just picked one doctor from the yellow pages.
I called Dr. Kübler being a little bit nervous because my German is not very good. Nevertheless, the receptionist/assistant was very kind and explain me that Dr. Kübler was busy, but not his colleague. I said it was ok and I made the appointment.
The colleague, unfortunately I forgot her name, was very impatient and rude. I didn't know the preventive care had an extra cost, but I wouldn't mind to pay for it. My peace of mind about cancer is more important. After a checking, she confirmed my doubts about an infection and said that I should come back later for the preventive care, because the infection could 'false' the cancer checking. That had sense to me and I agreed.
Then came the IUD removal. I still not knowing what happened and why it took her so long to realised that she couldn't remove the IUD alone, even if I said a couple of times that she was hurting me. Finally she call doctor Kübler. Same story; painful and long.
I have had 5 IUD in my life. I'm familiar with the removal feeling and I knew at that moment that I was in incompetent hands.
If you don't speak German, if you don't know German medial services and if you have a IUD, I would recommend to visit another doctor.
