It began when I got this naturopath's name off a list of doctors that allegedly deals with the particular issue I was seeing her for. I was so excited to get an appointment with her as it is not always easy to get care for this. Her daughter was apparently her scheduler. It appeared like a bit of a disorganized operation from the start. I was told to call my insurance to find out if this office accepted my insurance, after they had said they accepted it. I was promised an appointment but didn't get one, so I had to follow up again the following week. She then scheduled me for a virtual visit knowing what I was being seen for, yet for my type of problem, patients are *always* seen in person. So she then gave me an in person appointment 6 weeks later. I later received an automated message that my appointment would be canceled because I didn't do the online paperwork, but I had already done it way before. Regardless, I was just so happy to be seen in the coming weeks ahead and saw it as small inconvenient glitches by a scattered office.
The texts included here are from the day of my actual appointment I had waited for patiently. *Please see all SIX screenshots.* Depending on where you're reading, they may have posted backwards. I got a message stating that the doctor was running late and to just wait in the virtual waiting room. But my appointment was in person, nor did I have instructions for an online visit, because it was not an online visit. I asked if I should drive back home, I was already on my way, being I didn't want to be late. I ended up just going there since I was closer there than to home, but I didn't hear back for 17 minutes after my text I pulled over to send. I also sent her a text showing where she verified my appointment would be in person. Now I was told in the next text that the doctor had a family emergency and had to cancel all together.
First she's 10 minutes late to a virtual appointment that was suppose to be in person, now she's had a family emergency 17 minutes later? I was told she is not in the office. She said that Dr. Juniper would contact me to reschedule a future day asap. I was so confused. Suite 110 didn't really look like a doctor's office and certainly no one was in there. I was then told in the next text that it's another suite 110 in the same building. Two suites with the same number in the same building? That's so weird. So I said, OK fine I will take the virtual appointment, something is better than nothing. But they wouldn't even let me do that, now stating there was "scheduling confusion."
I was told I would get a call back asap, but now one has called me back, and it's been 100+ days. After this happened to me, my friend called a day later to schedule just to see what would happen, and whatever "emergency" had occurred, was no longer an issue. I don't know why they would treat me so badly, I felt discriminated against, and it felt so unprofessional. My only guess is the doctor doesn't really treat what that patient made list indicated, yet they knew my concern from day 1. I did a little research on this doctor and I found contradictory information about her stance on the issue I was coming in for, I don't know how her name got on that verified list at all. It was super disappointing and a waste of time, energy, and especially hope. read more
