A-2-Z Cars and Trucks

I recently took my 2010 Mercury Milan to Tim at A-2-Z Cars and Trucks after a mobile mechanic…read morevisited my house and couldn't resolve an oil leak without a lift, particularly because my car's frame is rusted from years of northern winters. I found A-2-Z based on their stellar reviews, and I'm certainly glad that I did. Tim at A-2-Z examined the car in full and noted to me that while the oil leak was a concern, what was far more problematic was that the rear suspension of my car was hanging on by a thread. Long story short, he was able to secure the new part to replace the rusted one I needed at a great price from a junkyard, and he took care of the oil leak (while replacing old spark plugs) at a reasonable price for the parts and labor involved. When I came to pick up the car, he and Mike showed me the trashed part that was replaced on my car. The back end of my car was so rusted that it could have snapped. Now, my car has new life and will keep going safely for another year or two until I'm ready for a new vehicle. If you're in the Royse City area, you can safely trust your vehicle to the staff at A-2-Z. These guys are great!

2002 Lexus LS 400…read more Sewell Lexus quoted me 17,500 for what needed to be done. This would mean junking this wonderful car since it is worth maybe 6000 at most. I'm not going to reveal Mike's prices, but suffice to say they were so good and the quality of work was so good! Now our car is as smooth as butter and good for many, many more years of service. We gave a substantial tip to this shop. Never done that before! The owner is 100% honest and communicates very well. Just unbelievable level of care and service that exceeded all other shops that I've ever used and that includes Sewell Lexus. I trust Mike with any car I own, new or used. I believe you cannot find a better mechanic at any price, and Mike's prices are very, very reasonable. He is my new #1 for life.

Long story of how I got here but high points are: - Jarrod…read moredoesn't hit his own timelines (great salesman, poor execution) - does not warranty his work (will not respond to texts) - will say he has fixed something and hasn't touched it Has many lawsuits against him for the same stuff I'm talking about. Don't go here.

If I could give them negative stars I would. I don't write reviews, ever, but If this saves 1…read moreperson from going through what we went through, it will be worth it. We brought our vehicle there with transmission issues. After us deciding that we would have them rebuild our transmission, they told us it would be 7-10 days. Weeks went by, no communication. They wouldn't answer any calls or texts. Not until we called from a different number did I finally get an answer. Then we started to show up at the shop. We were told EVERY single excuse you can ever hear. Everything from personal health issues, to cash flow issues, to worker issues, to weather issues. My favorite excuse was after 6 weeks when we were told it was repaired and they were going on a test drive, and then it was not working, I was told (by the manager John) that it doesn't help when I am pushing and rushing them to finish a job. So it was my fault. :) After 7 weeks and nothing but excuses we told them to not touch it anymore and we would tow it elsewhere. The 2nd shop we took it to, had it repaired in 5 days. The cherry on top was when the 2nd shop mechanic told us that the transmission was a junk yard transmission, no way it was an original Toyota. (sadly, I can't prove that) John blames the failure of communication on Jarod, the owner. I do no care and I will tell anyone to RUN from that place. Perhaps they are fine on small repairs, but for a transmission shop that supposedly does transmissions they are awful. Communication is non existent, and I will never ever ever go any where near that place again. DO NOT EVER PAY THEM BEFORE A JOB. LESSON LEARNED.
