In particular, Dr. Harvey Lum, an American, who was born and raised in Hawaii, made our kids' dental experience so wonderful that our 13-year-old shockingly said, "He-was-so-awesome! I can't wait to go back to get my teeth cleaned!!" (13-year-olds rarely speak highly of anyone, so this obviously spoke volumes about Dr. Lum's ability to work with kids.)
Our toddler also said that Dr. Lum "was very nice" and "super fun," after she complained the day prior about not wanting to ever see a dentist again.
Even my husband greatly enjoyed his dental cleaning, which, like our kids, he loathes with a passion. So, despite the long commute from our house to their dental office, my husband and kids would not hesitate to return and are actually looking forward to it.
