My experience with Dr. Stone has been very positive. I recently saw her for a menopause consult. I felt that the large practice that I usually go to wasn't really giving me the answers I needed regarding hormone replacement therapy (HRT). I have family history that makes it difficult to clearly assess the risks of HRT for me. And I'm generally not big on using western pharmaceuticals to address health issues. I'm much more committed to alternative medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle, but none of those things was working for me. I really appreciate Dr. Stone's format for seeing patients. We talked for quite a while about my menopause-related issues, my and my family's health history, HRT options, and the pros and cons. She was able to cite a number of studies for me. Ultimately, I feel I made the best decision I can, having weighed all the factors. I began an HRT regimen, and as I've had to make adjustments to it, Dr. Stone has been extremely responsive via email. I have gotten much more than my money's worth out of the cost of that consult. When I made my appointment, Dr. Stone was very clear about what she does, the cost of the consult, and that she doesn't accept insurance. I recommend anyone grappling with the unpleasant symptoms of menopause pay her a visit, especially if the common "one-size-fits-all" approach of most conventional GYN practices isn't working. read more

Dr. Stone is quick, smart, and concerned FIRST for her patients. I cannot say enough on her behalf for her professional yet personal approach. Like Vickie J., I first went to Dr. Stone at her Arvada practice. In 20 minutes she has twice diagnosed and resolved my problems. When she moved her practice to Denver and changed to a new system that does not bill insurance, I was also wary. However, she took care of my issue in record time, continually watching the clock while asking pertinent questions. As a result, she kept the price low and affordable. If Nikki M had a billing issue, that is certainly no reason to disparage Dr. Stone as a fine physician. And it is NOT true that money drives her clinic. In fact, in my experience it is just the opposite. Her Arvada office staff was most helpful with my concerns about the cost of an office visit before my first visit. Together we calculated (almost to the minute) what the costs would be before I went to see the doctor. Each time I have seen her, Dr. Stone has quickly and smartly diagnosed my problem. And for that, I am willing to pay her bill. It is unfortunate that one disgruntled person can write and post a damaging report on the Internet--especially when I know several satisfied women who continue to see Dr. Stone. read more

I found Dr Stone via her internet web page which I found very straight forward and genuine. Every aspect of my encounter with her confirmed what I felt in reading her web page. I am a post menopausal woman who was trying to find a doctor to listen and work with me to adjust and change my hormone therapy which I couldn't get through my Kaiser dr or previous non Kaiser dr. After a one on one discussion of my situation, she suggested several changes which we further discussed and together we placed a RX via the phone to a local pharmacy that would mail the Rx to me. She then gave me the information I needed for additional lab work to be completed through my Kaiser Dr. for her to review. Yes I went outside of Kaiser to get the kind of care I wanted and she worked with me to minimize my costs. She even created an invoice on the spot for the prorated hour we had talked ( so I could use in my flex spending )and completed the billing all via an Ipad ! She was exactly the kind of doctor I was looking for and I am grateful that I found her.She gave me exactly what I needed and I now have my hormones under control and my happy balanced self has returned! read more

I hadn't been to the doctor in a few years and was nervous about going in general. I spent quite a bit of time talking to Dr. Stone on the phone before making an appointment, but when I did, felt reassured that her practice philosophy was the right fit for me. I was given ample information on how to find the office, where to park, etc. Her office has a soothing environment, which was wonderful, because I was still a bit jittery. When I was greeted personally by Dr. Stone I felt relieved - she's warm and personable and instantly makes you feel at ease. I felt as though all of my questions were answered and the exam was very thorough. I appreciated the fact that the entire exam / Q&A wasn't conducted in the actual exam room. She takes her time and meets with you in her private office before and after the exam. Additionally, I found out a few things that I hadn't known before - which I felt like past doctors should have probably brought to my attention. I felt as though this was an exceptional experience and would highly recommend Dr. Stone to any woman that is looking for care. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Stone for several years, first seeking her out because of her specialization in midlife women's health. My prior doctor would only treat me per specific protocols without much discussion of my personal situation. Dr. Stone provided just the opposite: a thorough evaluation and discussion of options that could help me effectively manage perimenopause symptoms. I followed Dr. Stone to her new practice, WomanSmart, even though it meant higher out-of-pocket expense and a longer drive. I am even happier with the care I receive now, because Dr. Stone handles everything herself. If I call or email with a question, she is the one who answers (promptly) - not a nurse or administrative assistant. That translates into direct access to the doctor, whenever needed. I wish I could say the same for my other health care providers. My 20-year-old daughter is also a patient of Dr. Stone's and is very satisfied with the care she has received. So, while Dr. Stone's specialty is midlife women's health, she's also very effective in working with young women and the issues they face. read more

I am so happy I found Dr. Stone. I had been looking for a good gynecologist (not OB GYN since I'm 59 years old) who knew a lot about menopause and hormones and all that fun stuff...who didn't rush the appointment...who would really listen to my concerns and answer my questions with good current knowledge (do I dare ask maybe even holistic in nature???) and maybe even some empathy...whose office environment felt friendly, calm and kept appointments on time. I scored finding Dr. Stone. Not only did she fit the bill, she also answers her own phone...so when you call for an appointment you talk to her directly and immediately! She also answers emails!! How many docs do that?? And ultimately, Dr. Stone's recommendations of meds to address my many symptoms of menopause (hot flashes, night sweats and weight gain being the worst) have worked wonders (in only 3 weeks). Her website is what first sold me and really does tell the story of who Dr. Stone is, what she offers, and how she offers it. www.womansmart.net. I'm grateful to have found her.!! read more

I love Dr. Stone's medical practice! Approaching 50 years old, I was searching for a doctor that could help me with my hormones. Most gynecologists are also in the baby business, which makes their offices more chaotic. Dr. Stone's practice, focusing on treating pre-menopausal, menopausal, and post-menopausal women, is ideal and centered on these specific important issues. Dr. Stone's philosophy is in line with mine also, in that she utilizes bio-identical hormones where appropriate and spends as much time as needed discussing the whole person including nutrition, mental health and thyroid health, as well as hormonal health. The office setting is relaxed and personal. The check-in information is done on the iPad which is very easy and timely. And they even have chocolate on the counter! I feel blessed to have crossed paths with this wonderful woman and her business. I will keep making appointments as long as she will have me! read more

Dr. Stone has been my GYN doctor for at least a decade; I have followed her to 3 different geographic locations in the city. Obviously this reflects my satisfaction with her care. I think she is at the prime point in her practice - having been in practice long enough to have seen (and treated) nearly everything within her speciality but still realizing that new studies are always being done, new data colllected and sometimes these result in changes in treatment recommendations. Since she is now concentrating her practice mostly on post-menopausal problems and hormone replacement therapy, I think she is an ideal choice for a physician regarding these matters. If there is a new study or recommendations for treatment, she will be aware of it!!! I hope that Dr. Stone stays in practice long enough that I don't ever have to find a new GYN physician - read more

I have been seeing Dr. Stone for more than 15 years and she has always put me first. I have never felt I was just another patient and I am confident based on my experience seeing her for such a long time that her other patients feel the same as I do. I have always been happy with her expertise and the care that she has given me. Additionally she has never rushed me through my appointment(s) and always takes the time to listen and meet my needs. Her fees are reasonable and when I see anyone making unfounded comments about her, it's disappointing and maybe that person should go to Kaiser where the cost is low and the service is also low. In a time when it's difficult to find a Doctor who truly cares I am proud to call her my personal Doctor. Thank you for always being there for me... Victoria Castillo read more

I have never in my entire life had a better doctor than Dr. Dianne Stone. I have been on a spiritual journey for a very long time and she was able to speak with me not only on an medical level, but also on a deeply profound spiritual level. She was kind and personal, qualities I need from my doctor, especially when I am not feeling well and very afraid. She takes her time, and shares from her heart with a knowledge of female issues that is profoundly wise. In a very dark time in my life, I feel she was a light that helped me get through, move on, live and thrive! You seriously cannot ask for a better doctor, who will treat you like one of her own family with loving care and inspired professionalism! Call her now. All you have to do is meet her to know how amazing she is as a doctor and a woman! read more

I am a new patient to Dr. Stone, looking for guidance in the bio-identical hormone arena. I have had the most amazing experience! In contrast to leaving messages for nurses at various other dr. offices with my questions since I do not live in Denver, Dr. Stone responded with personal e-mails! She is responsive and efficient. I knew what i wanted to get out of my consultation with her, and she delivered a thousand times over. We are working as a team to get my body to its fullest potential, and I am so pleased with her service, expert knowledge and personal dedication. She fulfills every expectation. I feel that the hourly rate is worth every penny compared to some of the flat fees charged up in our resort area. I have no reservations and plan to keep this relationship for a long time! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Stone for several years, initially driving from Lowry to Arvada because the quality of care and practice expertise were frankly rare and simply unmatched. Specifically as it relates to combining holistic options with traditional medicine, I could not be more pleased. The new office in Cherry Creek is phenomenal and Dr. Stone's focus on very personal, un-rushed consultations with her patients is so appreciated. I have not quite reached peri-menopause, but feel prepared for what may be in store and have annual hormone testing/analysis to identify any changes along the way. I have also sourced Dr. Stone for her expertise in women's heart issues and have a high degree of confidence in her counsel. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Dr. Stone! read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Stone's for nearly 15 years. She was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad I found her. During that time, I've sought her counsel on a number of topics from pregnancy to cancer. In 2011, I was diagnosed with a form of leukemia that I would never had discovered had her office not noted an enlarged lymph node in my breast and insisted I follow up. Dr. Stone has been compassionate and a partner in my health. I've always felt that she took the time to fully listen and understand my concerns. She recently started her own practice and no longer accetps my insurance but I chose to remain with her and use my HSA account to pay because I value the attentiveness and caring she has shown me. I would highly recommend Dr. Stone to any woman. read more

Dr. Stone is a wonderful, kind, compassionate and smart health care provider. I have been her patient for 10 years and she has helped me, my mom and my sister through everything we have ever needed. She has worked us in at short notice and helped us through many challenges along the way, from finding the right birth control to treating infections to helping me find a solution to high blood pressure. Like others, we followed her from her practice in Wheatridge to her new practice and will remain loyal to her as long as she is in practice. I would highly recommend Dr. Stone to anyone in need of a gynecologist; whether you just need annual checkups or whether you are seeking care for a serious issue, Dr. Stone will provide the thorough, compassionate care that you need. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Dianne Stone since 2009. I was have some female issues and my primary doctor would not find the problem. A friend recommend Dr. Stone. The staff sent me a number of papers to fill out regarding my concerns. I went to see her and she was able to diagnose the symptom and a treatment to correct the problem. I was so pleased with her and her staff that I continue to see her for my yearly women's exam. When she was no longer accepting insurance I was give a list of women doctors that she recommend for me to see for my yearly women wellness exam. I am more than a patient to her and she cares about my well being. I continue to see her for my yearly check up and would not consider going to any other gynecologist. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Stones for a few years. Dr Stone was referred by my primary physician when she had her practice in Arvada. I was extremely pleased with her care and expertise with womens issues. Her team was always professional and prompt, her nurses excellent. When I heard she was moving to a new type of practice (one with which she doesnt bill your insurance) I was wary and thought I might use one of the referrals she provided. However, upon one visit to another Doctor, I determined that the experience she offered was worth the trouble. Consequently, I have followed her to her new practice - it is a bit trickier with the insurance (you need to utilize your HSA and bill your insurance yourself) however, well worth it. read more

It also took me years to find someone who could balance my hormones. Dr Stone is wonderful. She is straight forward, knowledgeable and works with her patients for a solution without breaking the bank. If I am in her office for 15 minutes she charges me for 15 minutes.. not 30. She doesn't spend the appointment time talking about her stuff and then charging me! She worked with my surgeon on solutions and is totally professional. Never charged me for all the time spend coordinating my care either! If I email her or call her - I know I'll get a response that day! Dr Stone is absolutely a breath of fresh air after seeing over 6 other top rated "specialists" who were expensive and never got my hormones leveled out - she has been the best! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Dianne Stone for over 20 years. She is a wonderful, caring and thorough physician. She has performed 3 surgeries on me and helped me through difficult times with Breast Cancer and menopause. I have recommended her to many friends and newcomers to the Denver area. She also takes care of my three 20 and 30 something daughters... to the point of bringing some Boston Chicken to one of my girls when she had had some surgery and wasn't impressed with the hospital food. As a clinitian, she is kind, thoughtful, listens and performs all of the the testing necessary in a gentle, respectful manner. I consider Dr. Stone to be one of if not the best women's Dr. in the Denver area. I HIGHLY recommend her. read more
