If you are in Madrid, you have to make the time for this adorable little restaurant. To start, the…read moreservice was incredible and even though it had only a few workers doing everything, they were patient and kind and super fast as well. The ambience is lively and warm, and everyone seems to know each other in this restaurant, it is very much a local spot. The drinks were amazing, from the best mojitos we've ever had, to perfectly savory bloody mary's. Now for the food. We were floored by the hummus platter. The pita was soft and warm, the hummus was perfectly creamy and light, and the tzatziki was the perfect consistency and flavor (not too watery, not too chunky). We ordered the ham and brie toast and the ham and cheese crepe. They were perfectly melted, perfect portions, and so savory. For dessert, we finished off with the banana and chocolate crepe, carrot cake, and dulce de leche crepe. By far the best crepes I have ever tried. The banana and chocolate crepe was so rich, and it seemed to have dark chocolate inside, so it was not overpoweringly sweet. The dulce de leche crepe had the perfect amount of caramel sauce, and the carrot cake was spiced and creamy and nutty. Despite how busy they were, everything came out quickly and we were never left hanging. Everything about this place was perfect.

You order at the bar and pick it up at the bar. You can sit wherever you like basically. We ordered fried croquettes, potato omelet, churros and tomato toast. The churros were our second favourite in Madrid. They weren't hot out of the frier but they were crispy and addictive. The tomato toast was a pass - nothing amazing and didn't have enough garlic. The croquettes came out piping hot. Nice and crispy. The potato omelet was also served cold but it went really well with the bread. I would imagine it was very delicious if it was hot. I would come back to try the other things on the menu as their menu is so big. They have lots of things that you could enjoy as snacks. A lot of locals come here and not a lot of tourists which is nice.

We don't (unfortunately) speak any Spanish but the staff were all lovely and accommodating anyway :) We ordered a burger and coffee each, and a plate of churros to share, which all came in at under €5 each and were absolutely delicious! If I ever find myself back in Madrid I will definitely be making my way back here!
