It has been in the community for approximately 20 years. While I browsed, my husband enjoyed speaking with the owner who is from the same state as my husband. This store carries interesting antiques and other furnishings. If you love the beauty of natural wood and furnishings with a history, you will enjoy this store. They carry dressers, chests, dining sets, china cabinets, chairs and more. Some of the pieces were huge and would only fit in a space with soaring ceilings, yet would definitely make a statement. The price point for several of the items were a bit shocking but I am not sure how much work may have gone into preparing the piece for resale. As long as we see a continued trend towards more modern furnishings of lesser quality, these types of stores will continue to thrive. When it comes to quality, price is sometimes irrelevant or at most secondary. I think the owner's favorite color must be green because he had hand painted his entire floor in green using a squeegie! It was very cool and creative. The one item that really caught my attention happened to be a little wooden chair that had a really cute design but also painted in a rich green color. I will say it did say to remove shoes but lots of bigger kids were just running wild through this space with their shoes on and it was a bit much so we didn't stay playing in there long for fear our little would get trampled. Nice to have an area for babies in theory, but without someone running the area it's just not being respected which again is more on the parents supervision (or lack there of). The building is a large single floor building with push doors. The store was buzzing with volunteers organizing donated items. This large thrift store was extremely well organized and the premise was clean and neat. Donations included: clothing, houseware, shoes, artwork, jewelry and so on. Donations were in good condition and clean. The aisles were wide and clear-making them easily accessible to anyone with a cane or wheelchair . The store is one level--no steps or ramps to navigate. On this day, a sign on the door promoted 1/2 off. They don't do this all the time so watch for signs. I purchased a lovely print that I am very happy with. The volunteers that I spoke with were helpful in answering questions and assistance. All proceeds stay in the community supporting local services. There was a chart behind the register showing the percentage of proceeds going back to the community which was impressive. Check for hours of operation (they closed at 2:00 today). Cash is appreciated. Personally, shopping at places like this is fulfilling in so many ways. I find a bargain, save something from a landfill, and support local services and economy. Win-win.

I was at the shelter many times bringing donated food and visiting with staff and residents and I also was a volunteer. I was an RN for 40 years and I have never witnessed staff with such genuine caring, generosity and true Christian hearts. Jennifer Bero, Executive Director and her support staff and Rena Idleburg, Shelter Manager and her staff bend over backwards to accommodate the needs of the residents, extend their time at the shelter if needed, provide Advocates and Bible study classes and anything that is needed for these lovely young ladies and their children to become independent in their lives and have God's Grace wherever they go. Despite all the challenges working with the homeless can bring, this staff always meets it with professionalism, calm and kindness. If you want a worthy non-profit to support this is the one!

I had a collection of cameras and other related items from my Father's estate. There were about 100…read moreitems in total. I brought them to Charles and Belle with a short description of each item and they handled everything from there. They took expert photos of each item from multiple angles and listed then on several auction platforms to expand the reach well beyond my small town in Gainesville Ga. Some items sold to buyers in Australia - now that's a large audience reach. They then handled all of the payment collection and dealings with the buyers. Within about 6-7 weeks everything was done.
