Adam, the owner, cut my hair and he was both genuine and great with his skills. People came in to drop by to say hi which I love to see and it seems like his family-established place is held in high regard in the community. The place is lined with awesome posters and a heavy punk influence, even hearing some 70s proto-punk when I got it (which I love by the way). The overall vibe II get is small town camaraderie with punk influence and great charm. I definitely found my new barber for years to come, but I want to recommend this place to everyone as well.

Nice barber shop…read more It was a thrill to come on in after making a reservation. Jim, the barber, and his girl cut mostly men's styles and have some beats bouncing off the radio in the background. Why songs? I don't know, but I usually do that on my own in the car. Jim did not sing, but was very precise in his cut and didn't roll eyeballs when I brought in a picture of my style and length that I wanted. Jim was actually happy. He could visualize it. And he pulled it off! The shop 'Barbers & Song' only has one seat - so they mostly take reservations and ask you to be in at a specific time. Cuts are around $20 for seniors and maybe $23 for adults. Jim asks how you like the cut, shows you a mirror to hold and talks - but not too much. Coiffeur Jim was just the right kind of talk to focus ratio. There is a large screen that the ballgame was on and couches to sit, too. Barber Jim's attention to detail, aim to please, curiosity and about 25 minutes per cut is pretty generous. Review: 5 stars

**Friendly place, courteous people…read more So I booked a shave for my birthday the other day to clean up my scruffy face for the occasion. Full disclosure , I am not an easy shave due to exposure based skin condition that makes my hair patchy while prior to my retirement from service. I was shaved by Lou, and I placed myself at the mercy of the barber for recommendations. Overall, the shave was nice it was done the way I asked, so I was satisfied. On my next visit, I will change up the style as now that I see it, I don't think it's "me." I was satisfied with the service I received and will return in two to three weeks once I get some growth back to try a different style. The feel of the shop was great and the staff was welcoming. The best part is I was given a card and told if I have to book in a pinch or have trouble with the app, just call. Which is a courtesy I've had yet to receive at the shops I took my son to before settling on a shop for him. (I'm bald de to my condition, so no haircut for me) I will return to Brands.
