Kenny Wray's Automotive

(13 reviews)

They are great at Kenny Wrays. Never had anything except excellent service from them guys. If I…read moreever find one of their shop rags in my engine, like someone said they did, I will wash it in my next load of work clothes and take it back to them. Great service and fast service.

I normally don't leave reviews, but what happened at Kenny Wray's Auto is so outrageous, unsafe,…read moreand unprofessional that I feel obligated to warn the public. My mother and I brought our car in for a clock spring replacement which, all things considered, is a straightforward job. The car had NO ABS light, NO steering issues, NO warnings when we dropped it off. After several days, we were told, "the car is ready to pick up." They processed our payment before we ever saw the vehicle, because, again, they said it was FINISHED. But the moment my mother got into the car, the ABS light was suddenly on, something that had never once appeared before. When she immediately asked about it, employee ALFREDO DELRIO told her: * They, "didn't have enough time," to finish it * They could, "try tomorrow" * Then walked away from her mid-sentence, while she was still asking questions * And worst of all, claimed the vehicle was safe to drive, even though the ABS had clearly been broken or mis-calibrated during their repair They took our money, claimed the job was finished, and then admitted AFTER payment that they simply, "didn't finish." That alone is unbelievable. We immediately took the car to AutoZone, where they pulled diagnostic codes U140E and U0126, both pointing to steering angle sensor issues. Again, something that DIDN'T EXIST before this shop touched the vehicle. When I called Kenny Wray's to get answers, Alfredo Delrio was combative, dismissive, and hung up on me multiple times. I asked for corporate contact, or even his last name, and he refused. This isn't just bad service, this is unsafe service. They returned a vehicle with new warning lights, refused same-day correction, told my mother, "that's not happening," and walked away from a paying customer. For a shop to create a problem, deny responsibility, and release a car that isn't safe to steer is beyond negligent. It's dangerous. And just so you're aware, this isn't the first time Kenny Wray's has shown reckless, sloppy, and dangerous behavior. On a previous visit (different repair), my mother got her car back with a shop rag left inside the engine bay, sitting right on the components. If she hadn't caught it, that rag could have caught fire, damaged the engine, or caused a serious accident. We let it go at the time, thinking it was an honest mistake. Now, paired with this whole ABS/SAS fiasco, the repeated disrespect, the lies about what was or wasn't calibrated, the contradictory explanations, and the attitude from their staff, it's clear it wasn't a one-off mistake. It's a pattern. I would strongly advise anyone in Fort Smith to stay far away from Kenny Wray's. We'll be filing formal complaints with the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission, and we have recordings documenting the unprofessional conduct that took place. Save yourself the stress. Take your vehicle literally anywhere else.
