He responded quickly and pricing was very fair. Candidly, I had apprehension contacting him since I hadn't found any Yelp reviews online about him (somehow I missed that he had Google reviews). But I did some sleuthing online and figured out that he was an actual person in the area whose other job appears (I believe) to be working for local gov't services -- and with a legit commission (license) as a notary. Turns out that he had paused offering notary services for a while, which was why there weren't lots of reviews. So I wouldn't worry about the limited reviews. We had a great experience and would use him again. Thanks Roy --

This thing is amazing, it has a blown right channel. He looked at it a few days after I called and then I guess he realized what he had in his hands....then the manipulation began. He told me it would $1450 to fix it!!! Then he started asking questions about my needs, as if he wanted the unit himself. He gave me several choices of mediocre receivers worth in the $350.00 range. I called a reputable shop, that wasn't in somebody's house in Phoenixville. I explained what Gervassi told me about the unit and I was informed his price was way out in left field...I believe what he was up to was to get me to give up my receiver. I went out to get the receiver from him today and he returned it to me with 4 new scratches in the beautiful brushed aluminum finish...they were fresh scratches as one can tell these things by the fact that they were bright and were not oxidized. He then of course blamed the scratches on me. I know with 100% certainty the unit was not scratched when I left it with them. It's a junky unprofessional looking setup with all kinds of crap laying all over their garage and muscle cars in the driveway. I wish I had not listened to my amp tech, but I can assure you he won't be recommending this guy again. I wish I had seen some of the other reviews, but there is clearly a pattern here. Also, other reputable shops charge $50 to evaluate, he charged $80. Buyer beware, don't go there.
