In my early twenties I had a string of boyfriends who were accountants, which struck everyone as being more than a little odd. I went to art school, and was definitely a bit of a party animal, and so I guess that my friends couldn't quite figure out what I was doing dating 'stuffy, boring accountants', and no amount of explaining could convince them to review their opinions and move away from their image of the altogether unfair stereotype! The truth is that accountants rock! (in my experience at least!) Isn't it odd that men of words are considered cool and men of numbers are not! These are the two different languages with which we interpret and express what we see in our world... but I guess there is more room for artistic license where words are concerned!? I seem to digress! It's been known to happen! Now where was I? Oh yes, G Marino & Co... These accountants do it all! They perform company audits, prepare annual accounts, maintain monthly accounts, and handle book keeping and wages on behalf of their clients. They also handle tax returns and VAT returns. This means that they handle everything from individual accounts for self employed people to big business clients. They also handle business start-ups and corporate advice. Morgan Smith Partnership is one of the firms that can do the lot! Being Chartered Certified Accountants as well as Registered Auditors, there is no accountancy client that they can't handle, making the one of two or three accountants on this street that can do this, despite there being well over ten accountants on the strip. I have not used this firm personally as my needs are not so grand, but I know a couple of business owners who relies on their services. One friend in particular treats their accountant as part of the company and keeps in regular contact. They justify the cost by telling me that it saves them money in the long run. I guess that this must be true, as they have experienced continued groth throughout the recession! Which is not bad!!!
