He took care of everything, the courts, the Judge, the DMV, and insurance. Answered all of his questions, emailed and emailed back, CALLED Back, and even TEXTED Him Back!! Talk about stressed out - major relief from the first call to the end. Nothing goes away completely, but this is a much easier way to handle the potentially insurmountable problem. Responded within hours if not minutes for everything he needed. I've never heard of a lawyer like this - everything you want and nothing that you expect. More than that and most important - he saved a bundle of $$$$, Green, Moola - The Good Stuff by hiring this guy. We're talking about his insurance not being tripled (or raised at all). He knows every loophole available. Or maybe it's just solid knowledge that he related to my buddy. What blew me away was all of the B.S. mail he received about 2 weeks later - AFTER the time that DMV takes your license away for a year. That's right - if he hadn't hired Mr. Schwartz immediately he may have lost his license for a year. Something you have to do within 10 days after the dui - REALLY IMPORTANT. Jake gives Lawyers a good name. Truly Exceptional Service!

Ryan, I only just noticed your response to my review. Three years may have passed, but the passage…read moreof time does not make the facts any less relevant. You claim that my review is "neither fair nor accurate," yet you do not identify a single statement that is supposedly false. Saying that professional rules prevent you from discussing details is convenient, but it does not explain why your firm failed to appear at my scheduled court hearing, leaving me dangerously close to having a default judgment entered against me. Only after I found another attorney were we able to appear at the last possible moment and protect my case. I was never given a refund only an apology after my case had nearly been seriously compromised. That was not merely a "bad experience," and it certainly was not the "amazing experience" your response advertises. It was a serious professional failure involving a client's legal rights and future. I have no interest in calling your office for a private conversation years later. You had every opportunity to communicate with me properly when I was your client and when it actually mattered. A generic denial followed by a marketing slogan does nothing to address what actually happened. My review remains relevant, and I stand by it.

I couldn't wait to log into Yelp and leave a review for this law practice. Lost my house and…read moreeverything I own in the Tubbs fire in 2017. It took five years, three subpar (bankrupt) contractors before I hired my fourth and final contractor. My fourth contractor had good intentions, but put some good AND some very poor subcontractors on my job. Then I got in the middle of a minor invoice dispute with my current contractor. It involved unpaid subcontractors and also some "warranty work". These are things that could turn ugly very quickly. I reached out to North Coast Builders Exchange, and also the California State Licensing Board for advice. I was told that my understanding of the proper way to handle this dispute, was correct. I also decided to reach out to a law firm just to be prepared, in case things got ugly. Dan Galvin was the attorney that North Coast Builders Exchange recommended. When I called this law firm Thursday, I was told that Mr. Galvin was already out of the office, and I probably would not hear from him until Monday. The office manager told me that he usually does not work on Fridays. So I was quite surprised when Dan Galvin's caller ID showed up on my phone today, his off day. I explained my situation, and he listened closely. He gave me very sound advice. During the nearly 30 minute conversation I was expecting him to push towards litigation. I expected him to try to rope me into some kind of a commitment to hire him. I kept adding layers and layers of complication and detail to my conversation with him, expecting him to cut me off and tell me that we should probably sign some sort of agreement before I go any further. During the entire conversation, he kept listening and offering good advice, while I quietly waited for his request for a credit card number, or something! I kept looking at my watch wondering, "How much more free advice is this gentleman going to keep giving me?" It was an added bonus, that he seemed to know background on the contractors. So his advice was particularly sound. It got to the point in the conversation where I said to myself, "This attorney is going to let me keep talking until I have nothing left to say." So I thanked him for his advice, and told him that if things could not get resolved one on one with my contractor, I would be retaining his services. Cannot tell you how impressed I was with Mr. Galvin. He listened closely to everything I said, gave me what I thought was very sound advice, did not at all come across like he was looking for a way to "cash in" on my problem. Having said that, I think I have found my Santa Rosa law firm any time I need a Santa Rosa based attorney in the future!
