Her questions were thought provoking and really made us be even more intentional about the type of birthing experience we wanted. A few highlights of our experience: -Laura is extremely responsive via text and email. She was extremely patient with me because I was not. I was impressed that when I called her at 3am for potential labor pains, she was wide awake and ready to go. -She customized our experience. She provided articles that pertained to our specific needs. My husband is analytical and data driven and I am more emotional. She walked that fine line and was able to support us both. -She made my husband give me foot massages! -She was able to work with our nurse to get labor moving. I desired to labor at home as long as possible before heading to the birth center and her knowledge and experience made me feel safe doing that. She encouraged me to follow my instincts and gently guided me to help my labor progress. She was a quiet presence who was right there when I needed her, but also gave plenty of space for my husband to be my main support that day. She empowered him as much as me. I also can't replace the support she gave me throughout my pregnancy. I would begin to feel nervous or scared about birth, and she would have just the right encouragement to give me the confidence that I needed heading into labor. I know that she would have supported any decisions I had made on that day without judgement. She continues to support and answer any questions I have even a year later!

I reached out to Margaret via text on Monday evening (I felt it was a little intrusive but I was desperate!) She responded almost immediately and said the following morning would work for her! Hallelujah!! She was at my house at 8am!! She was with my husband and I for 2 hours. She was like Mary Poppins! She had a scale to weight the baby before and after feedings, tons of tangible information for us that she also went over with us to make sure we understood everything, and the best part... all kinds of goodies to make breastfeeding much more pleasant the first couple weeks. She answered any and all of our questions with the utmost confidence! She has been in the industry for a long time and is a master!! I have two toddlers at home, 1 and 3 year old, and work full time as a bedside nurse. I was long overdue for a massage. I like a firm pressure to get all the knots out from my upper/lower back, especially working long 12 hour shifts on my feet. Other places that perform prenatal massages are too scared to apply pressure. I got the Blissful Mama Massage as a Mother's Day gift. I am so happy with Alison. She listened to all my needs and listened to what my body needed as far as back relief. I felt so relaxed afterwards. It was exactly what my body needed. I am already looking forward to the next time I'll be back! I bought a similar cervical neck pillow as soon as I got home, it made such a difference during my massage. Parking is very limited. Bathroom outside did not bother me as I know that these older buildings have different layouts and it is to be expected.
