Don't buy a used Machine From This Company, Or by extension, a new one either. The riding mower I bought is junk. The engine wiring harness was draped around the engine without using the harness clips, same for the fuel lines (wow!). The fuel pump leaked oil from the crank case. The hood, grill and side covers were all stuck so I couldn't open the hood. I spent 20 hours repairing for 6 hours mowing. Likely from the leaking oil loss, now it blows white smoke for a minute after start up. Etc..there is more. Oh, and customer service was not helpful. But it was insulting. Very. If you go to Craigslist and buy a used lawn mower from a private party, you will get a better deal. Retirees sell them when they move to condos. They are low mileage, not expensive, and in good shape. Think about it. read more

The most rude customer service that I've ever experienced, and I've worked over 40 years in retail. When I called to inquire about my pressure washer, the woman on the line said that they were about 300 units behind and won't be able to look at it for quite some time. I said "OK, I'll just come and pick it up". She said "that would be great!" (Apparently, they have too much business?) When I arrived to pick up my washer: Me: "I'm here to pick up my pressure washer" Woman behind counter: "Just give me a couple minutes!" Me: "Is this my pressure washer right here?" Woman behind counter: " I said give me a couple of minutes! Do you need a f....ing hearing aid?" I grabbed my pressure washer and left in a hurry while commenting about how I would never recommend their service anyone. read more

Avoid at all costs. The "lady" just told us that, "The customer is never right." This was after she put us on what she thought was hold, but actually put us on speaker and told another customer she would leave us there and maybe we'd go away. Not the same ownership as pre-COVID. read more

They have a new owner. I brout them my riding mower to fix the steering. They had to order a part. They got it and fixed perfectly. It now steers like brand new. I also brought them my roto tiller. It hasn't run in 20 years. They put a new carb on it and cleaned the gas tank. Greased it up and it runs like a champ. Very helpful with my questions and easy to talk to. Very happy and will strongly recommend. read more

Over the years I got to hear customers that come in wanting this or that and I'm like wtf really what world do you live in. The staff takes a beating from a lot of idiot customers. I've never felt so ripped off in my life. I dropped off my mower to have the deck welded. when I went to see them the mower they tried to give me was not mine. I'm not sure how but they mixed up mowers and then Matt accused me of being a scam artist when I told him it wasn't my mower. read more

I stopped in to buy a small piece of chain used for tightening belts. A very common generic part. They refused to help me unless I had the part number. I said so you're not going to help me? Their answer is we have to have a part number. Refusing to assist in finding a model or part number for me. Extremely rude. I found what I needed at a hardware store for 2 dollars. When you bring up the quote you got, their excellent customer service rep Jess will tell you how she never quoted you that price and then treat you like you're an idiot for inferring she made a mistake. All you hear come out of her mouth is how busy they are...and disorganized if you take a look at their shop/workspace. The only thing they're busy doing is ripping people off. They also have horrible customer service and would not budge on the price to keep a customer. This place is a joke. I'm shocked they are still in business if this is how they treat people. Love supporting small local businesses and generally that's because of the great customer service and Doug's was no exception. I bought a Toro lawn mower with a Toro engine (by the way don't ever do that pay the extra money for the Honda motor) and never ran well. Had Doug's do an overhaul and it works great this season. I also like when I went to pick it up after been sitting there for a few months they ran it to make sure that it would work and found something else was wrong. Stopped in to look at riding mowers and sales staff was great. Later, decided I wanted to purchase but I had a coupon at a competitor. Emailed them stating wanted to purchase asap but wondering if they would match or work with me at all on the price. After no response for almost a week I called. There was no apology for the lack of response and they had sold out of the mower in the interim. They can't move on the price (which is fine, they're not a big box store) but also couldn't tell me when they would stock the mower. I can get equally bad service with better pricing at a big box store. They do set up the mower for you but I'm capable of that as well. Would have paid full price if they had cared about my business. Will instead use my coupon with the big box. read more
