It is a very homey liquor store. I regretted that I haven't gone to this location before. They have huge selections from your regular pick to luxurious brand. The store layout is very friendly . Each aisle has visible signage. Despite of the markings, the staff is very accommodating and helpful for any questions you will have in your mind. Pricing is better than competitors. I physically have not been to the store but the level of service provided by the owner, Mr Han was exceptional I was having a hard time ordering through Drizly to send a pick me up gift to my friend who's a first responder and working through this pandemic and he went above and beyond to process my order directly and hand delivered the bottles. I live about a 5 minute drive from this place and I'm upset I didn't come more often. From the moment you walk in the owner is always so polite and he greets you with a smile. I'm pretty sure this is a family owned business because his young adult kids work here and they are attentive and make you feel comfortable. I never feel like I have anyone hounding me walking behind me and it makes me feel right at home because I use an app that scans wines and give reviews so sometimes my curiosity strikes and I scan bottle by bottle to decide which wine of the week will make my weekly lineup. The selection and prices are very hard to beat and they usually offer really nice deals. Don't fret and make this your one stop shop for wines and liquor. I recently discovered this gem after looking for a liquor store in the area and have been going back ever since. I stopped going to a lot of the liquor stores in the area because of the horrible customer service or constant watching as if I was stealing something but here everyone Is so kind and helpful! They have an amazing wine selection and prices are great! Everyone who works here makes me feel at home and let me shop and look around without making me feel pressured to rush or make a purchase. This is a great liquor store location on the upper level of the Douglaston Shopping Center. Plenty of free parking upstairs in the upper level and the store itself has a huge selection of liquor, wine, and other spirits. Almost anything you can think of, you can probably find. The owners are Chinese, but they speak decent English, so there will be no language barrier there. Occasionally, they do have wine tastings too, which is cool! Recently I went there to buy a present for my friend. The vodka that I was looking for is called, Legend of Kremlin, and it has a very nice looking presentation. The bottle of vodka is inside of an Encyclopedia! (See pictures). Very cool gift idea and the vodka itself is quite smooth. Purchase came to $35 and change. Not bad! read more

On the upper level of the Douglaston shopping mall, this relatively new store is easily accessible by car. It is nicely stocked with well organized categories of wines, and spirits and very clean. The selection ranges from higher end including some relatively more difficult wines to find such as Grgich Hills and La Scolca to popular wines. I am disappointed, however, that there are signs everywhere literally as well as upon every shelf clearly stating not to take pictures or use your camera. It is typical for savvy buyers to scan a bottle on Vivino or other apps on their phone and quickly obtain a review and pricing. Disallowing this at the risk of being ejected from a private store merely for shopping wisely is at the owner's peril. read more

Very disappointed I checked in and they had a 10% off deal. I went to use it and he said that they are not honoring it anymore. I'm like well you have it on yelp he goes no we can't honor it. He doesn't know how to remove it from yelp. Really you couldn't honor a 10% off. I didn't buy that much stuff and how much can you really be losing. It should of been honored until they removed it. Came here to buy one of my favorite red wines, Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel one time and after my experience here I've just been coming back. The owner here sold it for a very good price and was very genuine with me. I was a little hesitant to write a good review here because I like being the one to know about great places like this, but I decide to share the wealth here because Douglaston Wine Spirits deserves to be known. Douglaston Wine Spirits also goes by the nickname the "secret liquor store" because of its incognito location, but I think its also because of its hidden potential as a local spirits store. Besides the red wine, Douglaston Wine Spirits has a wide selection of white wine, champagne, liquors, whiskey/bourbon, gin etc etc. Clearly, I'm no expert when it comes to alcohol, but I've learned a lot from the owner here on the occasions I've shopped here and he's taken the time to explain to me the differences in tastes and even gave me suggestions on what he thinks I would like to order. So far they've been on the money when it comes to suggestions. I've been here several times now and have bought several cases of red wine, white wine and champagne here in the past and have not been let down by the service or quality of alcohol purchased here. Pros: - GREAT prices for alcohol AKA not breaking your bank - Next to Wayfair supermarket, which has no wine. - Lots of convenient parking - You can actually walk in here, know nothing, be welcomed and learn something on your way out. Cons: - Can be difficult to locate the store, for convenience its located on the 3rd level above Macy's. - Can be overwhelming since there is so much selection and the store is literally head to toe in alcohol.
