We often take time to write a review with unpleasant experience…read more Today, I am taking my time to write an awesome experience here at this hotel. I arrived at Trieste port from the cruise ship, walked over the street, and saw the hotel that I will be staying at on the next day. I was very surprised that I will be moving my luggages from the ship over to the hotel with just a few steps. It was the most convenient move ever! The hotel itself was amazing! Beautiful, super clean, and the staffs here are so nice. Service is beyond my expectation. We arrived early. Matteo made every effort to get the room ready for me as fast as he can. He was so accommodating. Really appreciate this as we needed a place to rest. Breakfast was great! View of my cruise ship. Leunijt was amazing! He made sure customers are taken care of. I noticed another group appreciated him so much and showed him a token of appreciation. I would come back here again.

The name does not lie. It is like some sort of renovated palace. There are huge rooms, high…read moreceilings, chandeliers, marble floors and fancy furniture everywhere. It is in a great location in Trieste, right on the water front and 2 mins walk from the main square and the canal. The staff are really friendly and eager to you help with anything you ask. Breakfast was good and included in the room rate. If I was going back to Trieste I would definitely stay here again. It's a bit like going back in time, but not in a dated way. It's fully modern, but embraces the elegance of it's older attributes.

Really loved this quaint, comfy, city centre hotel. It is right beside a few darn good supermarkets…read morefor supplies and a 5 minute drive from the port. The staff here are stand-out wonderful and the daily brekky offerings delightful, with great food and coffee choices. Our 4th floor air-conditioned bedroom was on a corner and double-glazed so it was fairly quiet, especially, usefully, at night time. Our room was on the small side again great in - room coffee and the bed lovely. The bathroom has a sliding door and has a shower (stand in the bath) that was real powerful and there's a bidet which I always am delighted to find in hotel rooms. The hotel lift is also on the small side. The rooms have clearly been renovated, there's some nice touches in the bathroom accessories and the room had a tiny wall - mounted tv that we didn't watch as Trieste has so much to offer from great food to stunning architecture, a complex history to include a coffee museum (being Italy's largest coffee importer/processor) and with all these delights who wants to watch telly. They have a snug bar open in the evenings near ground floor reception (where the breakfast area is) but they do switch off their espresso machine about 10pm so if coffee is your drink of choice get in before then. It's our second time in Trieste in a year - the first time was an emergency when I was toxin poisoned and hospitalised courtesy of MSC cruise line. This time we intentionally returned and we would return here again in a heartbeat and would love to stay at least a week as Trieste is just wonderful. If you need more proof of its greatness it was home to genius James Joyce for near 16 years at the start of the 20th century which must have been a world away from dirt poor, tenement Dublin. The decay of Dublin was epitomised by Henrietta Street, which had once been home to generations of lawyers, but was, by 1911, overflowing with poverty. An astonishing 835 people lived in 15 houses. At number 10 Henrietta Street, the Sisters of Charity ran a laundry with more than 50 single women inside. Now we know nuns and laundry gave rise to pure unblemished evil but that's a whole other horror story.

The check in was nice and the complementary breakfast was really good. However my room jade basically no WiFi. I was having trouble figuring out the jacuzzi tub but once it turned on so much dirt and what I'm guessing may be skin or rust came out I was disappointed. Also hotels. Com said it came with a sauna but I get there and find out that it's not included also the view from my room is the back of another building. This is a beautiful place I'm just sad this hotel did not live up to my hopes

The hotel is decorated in a modern style. There are a couple of seating areas in the lobby/bar and breakfast is served just off the lobby in a large dining room. No restaurant service was available during our stay other than the breakfast buffet which included coffees from a machine or the lobby bar, teas, juices, breads, cold cuts & cheeses, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a selection of torte, cereals, fresh and dried fruits. The room was clean with a couple of hooks on the wall for coats, a suitcase rack and work area. The closet contained a safe and mini-fridge. The bathroom had a shower stall only (no tub) and a sink with moderate size vanity, w/o a shelf to store toiletries. There was a stool stored under the sink, a hair dryer on the wall, the usual personal items and large, soft towels. No face towels. The bed was quite firm. No 'give' at all. The pillows are 'fiber fill'. Wi-fi and breakfast were included with our room. Paid parking is available off site at three locations. One underground garage offers a 10% discount to hotel guests, an open lot is available near the waterfront and valet service furthest from the hotel. The seating area near the bar is quite comfortable with a TV tuned to an Italian news station. Another TV is available in the breakfast room along with newspapers in the morning. In the evening the bar is open to guests for before or after dinner drinks and coffee.
