Great ambience with live music. Great friendly service. The beer was great! Pizzas were delicious especially the crust . Taking one star off because I wish they had more variety in menu options like fries/ onion rings. If you eat pork your options are plenty compared to a veggie person. This is definitely a must stop when in good river for the vibe and beer.

For some reason this seems to always be the place we stop at for a meal when we're in the area. The beer selection is good, but the menu is better than some that are nearby. Service has always been good (otherwise we wouldn't come back) and the food as expected. Prices are good for portion size and food tastes great. Lots of indoor seating and some outside as well. Just a solid place to come for a pint and a bite.

Truffle shuffle

Our favorite pizza spot in the gorge. The mushroom truffle is worth the drive alone. Always have good rotating beers on tap. We usually like their seasonal pizza too.

Stopped by double mountain with some friends the weekend of our wedding (we had their cider and beer for our guests a few days later!) and we grabbed a pizza! The pizza was incredibly delicious I wish I came back for more before leaving town! The servers were chill and friendly and the ambiance was super lovely and upbeat. They had a live performance when we came so it was really fun!

We stopped in here after exploring around the town. We ordered a salad, two pizzas (a salami pie and truffle shuffle), a club sandwich and tuna melt. All of the food was really good! The truffle shuffle was my favorite though. The tuna melt was good but different with the tuna being an actual patty and not loose meat. I liked that it was served like that though, less messy! We wished we could have sat outside in their individual covered patio tables but the party in front of us snagged it before we could. Overall, great portions and a good experience.

Our food was delicious! The peppers on the pizza added a little extra flavor and crunch! We sat outside, the kids could move around and were not confined to sitting in one spot and that was nice. We came to Hood River for a couple of days and we will definitely be back if we are ever in the area.

The Salami Pie

I'm visiting from out of town and went to Double Mountain for a late night bite. I didn't go inside (because I had my dog with me) and I loved that they had outdoor seating. They had great wooden benches that felt private as well as some picnic tables. Even water bowls for dogs! Service was attentive, quick and the people were very helpful! Lastly, the food was decent! We got the Heirloom Pie & Salami Pie. They had pretty thin crusts (I usually like the thick crust) lots of toppings, and slices were large. Overall, not too shabby!

Cider Flight

Despite a full restaurant, we were seated immediately! We ordered the Cider Flight- which is a predetermined selection of 5 ciders. All 5 ciders had unique flavor profiles, but we both preferred the Lil Ice the best. We split an order of Pretzel Bites- which were served warm with buttery crusts & just the right amount of salt! The dipping mustard & cheese sauce were amazing! We also split the Grilled Tuna which was a grown-up tuna sandwich! It had fresh arugula, tasty pickled red onions, & a nice tuna patty served on a perfect ciabatta roll. We also shared the Irish Stout Brownie which was a wonderful, warm, dense brownie served under a generous scoop of ice cream. We would definitely eat here again!

Taster tray

Excellent pizza! We got the salami pie with white sauce and it was phenomenal! The crust is perfection. The caesar salad was tasty, the cheesy break was divine and the mezze platter was great (yummy hummus). The beers are also excellent. This is a very great brewery that doesn't get nearly enough recognition!

Double mountain is one of my favorite pizza places in the gorge! They offer gluten free choices and cider which are all tasty and delicious. They have a handful of beer on tap to choose from too. I'd recommend checking them out if you are craving pizza!

You can also contact Beverly, the owner, who will do special orders and even provide treats for events like weddings, celebratory parties, special dinners, anything! Over the years I have tried many items and loved them all. There are always unique flavors built into everyday pastries which take B's Sweets to the next level. For example, the maple scones have figs incorporated giving them both texture and contrast. The doughnuts are sometimes flavored with lavender, sometimes hibiscus, sometimes both, giving them a scent and flavor that elevates the ordinary doughnut to something truly special. Even though I am not gluten free, I often buy the GF shortbread cookies beautify decorated with an edible pansy flower. Trust me, you need to buy this for your next brunch or gathering. Not only do they add an artistic flair to your table, they are scrumptious! And all of your friends can enjoy them. The mini tarts - in various flavors depending on what's in season - are also decorated with pansy's and dried fruit. Just gorgeous ! The lemon tart is my favorite but recently bought the blood orange and everyone loved it. Sometimes there are purple tarts - lavendar - and while the color may throw you off, go for it! So good. There are various types of stuffed croissants, brownies, artisan chocolate bon bins and caramels, cookies, focaccia, hand pies, cinnamon rolls, lavender tea cookies and more! Really hard to make decisions. Luckily I'm there weekly so I get to try most everything. The lavender shortbread squares with half dipped in dark chocolate, sprinkled with lavender, are my favorite. Only available in the cooler months as chocolate melts in the heat, I always buy a box of 6 for $10. They also make a great little hostess or just because gift for a friend. You can also find these at the gift store at Hood River Lavender farm for a treat any day of the week. The owner and baker, Beverly, is the best! So kind, friendly and enthusiastic about her baked goods and the customers genuine enjoyment. Call her for special orders. She also provides dessert spreads for events. Your guests will love them!! What could possibly be better?…read more Nestled in a small town with lots of outdoor beauty, local fruit, and all the outdoor activity anyone could wish for... lies a pastry shop that would make the best of Paris or Vienna stand up and pay attention, and it's staffed by lovely fun people! Every week, I get an updated menu, featuring all that is best in Oregon farming and orchards plus a delightful Eastern European spin that is so hard to find anywhere in the US. Do I think you should go? I think you should go RIGHT NOW! Go early for all the best though... Today, we had a wonderful filbert dacquoise and oh... wow. Each filbert (hazelnut if you're not local) topped with gold and chocolate, the creaminess, the richness, exquisite. Seriously, they deserve a Michelin star. But, that's not all! Don't miss out on the takeaway selections especially for gifts! The chocolate covered mango is a big hit. Today, we also got their pâté de fruit... a simple sort of gummy confection but... OMG!!!! So much intense flavor! We were lucky enough to get these from the patisserie of Gaston Lenotre in Ille de France while he was in his heyday in the early 80's, just after taking the world by storm with his pastries and candies... and ... I'm so sorry "uncle" Gaston... these are a level above your own. There, I said it. This place is historically, internationally good. If you miss out while visiting Hood River... your loss of a lifetime.

This was a fun find during a day trip to Hood River! It's right in the heart of the downtown area…read morenear other restaurants, cafes, and shops, and we're usually able to find street parking nearby pretty easily. The coffee was fantastic, and they had some good non-dairy options for me. The pastry options are beautiful and the eclair we had was delicious. The service was friendly, and we did have to wait a bit for our drinks to be made, but not too long. The space is tiny, so it's more of a place to order food then maybe sit outside if one of the two small tables is available and it's a nice day, or just get it to go. I did think the prices were quite high for the area, and for the quality and items themselves, compared to other patisseries. We spent around $42 for three coffee drinks, an eclair (which was amazing), a croissant, and a couple of macarons (including tip). But, I'm always happy to support a local patisserie and think they do a great job. Worth checking out if you are in town.
